STUDENT/YOUTH GROUPS POLICY - In order to maintain a family oriented environment, the resort will be implementing a policy directed at student/youth groups. Students/youth are considered by the hotel as any person between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy instituted for all bookings traveling in the months of March and April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:

 - All student/youth groups must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Upon check-in, each group will be required to make a refundable cash deposit of USD $200.00 per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.
- In the event that any member(s) from the group engage in inappropriate behavior disrespecting Hotel staff and/or other guests or causing physical damages to the facilities, the hotel management reserves the right to expel the entire group
without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.

SPRING BREAK POLICY- Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is a family oriented environment and thus has implemented the following policy for Spring Breakers reservations. The valid period is March 1st, 2020 to April 30th, 2020. Spring Breakers are defined as Students/youth between 16 and 23 years of age.

- One parent or chaperone at least 25 years of age will be required per room for check-in. Adults accompanying are responsible for the students’ behavior.

    In a dated property, Its is the people who makes the difference!

    After confinement, my family and I were eager to take a much needed break from our "break", and after reading a few reviews we opted for Iberostar Cancun. Although cleanliness standards were well outlined and kept, the hotel lacked a lot of warmth. NO evening shows and very little entertainment. We might had a well rented a villa back home for a fraction of the price! Waiting staff need to be more approachable, and smile more often. Entertainment staff who are NOT there to entertain, but to talk among themselves need ridden of. I thought I booked a 5 star hotel and It is uncomfortable to see staff with Old, work and dirty shoes, torn shirts, as if they begging to be "tipped". I worked in the entertainment industry myself and It's sad to see young, hungover youngsters floating around the pool pretending to be "entertaining" when they obviously have Zero interest in their guests. Two guys though made a big Difference, Carlos (waiter or server) and Franco (or Francisco? Entertainer). They always greeted everyone with a smile, they carried their duties in a way we , as first time guest felt more than appreciated. Franco was a true "gentle-man", always helpful and smiling. We did not get the chance to say goodbye to neither of them but will definitely come back to Cancun, we just hope you hire more animators like Franco!

    Iberostar stay review

    Great stay at Iberostar and great animation team, having much fun and joy with multiple game entertainments. Specially, we had good and close relationship with Osvaldo, great chat about mexican culture and competing in many games.

    Can't wait to return!

    Best Hotel experience I've ever had! I went with my partner and had a wonderful, romantic couples holiday but I'm now planning a family holiday for next time. I just have to share this place with my family. Food 10/10, Staff 10/10, Facilities 10/10 etc etc

    BRAVO IBEROSTAR

    During this period, when we faced the problems generated by covid19, hotels and airlines had to cancel all reservations. Most issued limited-time vouchers for post-pandemic bookings. The IBEROSTAR hotel group, regarding my reservations from 2020 in Cancun and Havana, had a policy of full refund of the amounts paid in advance. This fact offered me the possibility to make a new reservation at any of the hotels in the Iberostar group. As a tourist, I have always felt and appreciated the care and concern of my Iberostar partner I would like to express my respect and appreciation for the professionalism of the Iberostar Group. I want to thank everyone, but especially the group of agents from Mallorca (Jana [-], Diana [-], Delphine [-], Flor [-]). My collaboration with the Iberostar Group has always been a pleasure and I will continue it Bravo Iberostar Anca IVANESCU

    WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE - DO NOT TRUST THEM!

    This was the absolute worst hotel experience our family has encountered. We booked a Villa Ocean Front Superior room as we were traveling with two children, and this room provided for enough space to be comfortable. We paid a significant premium for this room, and upon arrival were taken to a tiny room in comparison. When we asked about this, the resort said they were sold out - HOW DO YOU SELL OUT OF A ROOM THAT IS RESERVED? Isn't that the point of a reservation? The hotel was not even apologetic, and after some research on the internet have found out this resort is known for baiting and switching its customers. They agreed to put us in another room, still not comparable to the one booked, and awfully dirty, for two nights and agreed to refund those two nights due to their error. Of course, no refund was ever issued and the hotel has been nothing but difficult ever since. We will not only never return to this particular Iberostar, but would never trust any other Iberostar ever again. They are unethical, and deceitful in their business practices, and their actions will be reported to the appropriate authorities. Travelers beware.
