Meal Portions Need To Be Improved
My friend and I recently stayed for a week in one of the Garden View Villas. We liked that there was a very nice pool right outside the villa. The room was a nice size, with two queen size beds. I stayed there in 2019 with my husband so I thought it would be a great resort to go back to with my good friend to celebrate our 75th birthdays. We had reservations for all 5 restaurants and ate at the buffet the other two nights. The servings in the restaurants were small, half the size that they were in 2019. We ordered the Prime Rib in the steakhouse which was supposed to be cut and served at our table, but instead of getting that our waiter brought us two steaks that would barely feed a 8 year old, not very good either. Before we finished our meal out came a waiter with the prime rib on a cart for another table. Our salad was actually bigger than the steak. I ordered ribs another night at the American restaurant and my friend ordered the salmon. Both small potions and it was the same with the Italian and Mexican restaurants. Taste was good at those but portions again the size for a child.

Very underwhelming
This resort feels old and in desperate need of an upgrade. 2 out of 3 elevators are in service. It appeared that has been the case for quite some time and no sign of work being done. This made for very lengthy waits (+5 minutes) for an elevator only to find it full to capacity. So donât forget something in your room. Service quite frankly was poor. Staff morale I think was very low and was the cause of the lacking service. As to the food, Iâm almost at a loss for words. It was apparent that they were trying to control cost by keeping food quality and selection to the bare minimum. Drinks were very inconsistent, rum was always the cheapest rum. Good luck getting a Captain Morgan with your coke. Not sure how they get away with advertising as having 9 pools. Basically itâs one pool. There is kiddy pool and then the other pools are reserved exclusively for the villas. This resort back in the day (10 years ago) would have been $150/nightâŠ. It hurts to pay over $500/night now for this kind of 3 star quality. Ouch. How times have changed.

Great stay. The entire Iberostar staff was terrific, from helpful and speedy check-in to house keeping, bar staff at all of the many bars throughout the resort, servers at the many food option locations (food was all very good as well) and especially the Star activities staff that kept us busy and entertained throughout the day. The only negative I would comment on would be the evening entertainment. The resort has a stunning facility but offered little in the line of quality shows and entertainment the likes of which we've experienced at other Iberostar resorts. Perhaps, just bad timing.

Not good enough
There where always extra costs that were not informed at check in or when buying the package. There is one elevator that its not working wich makes you lose a lot of time when going up or down the rooms. Always dirty dishes on the hallways to the rooms.
