We love Ziva!
Hyatt Ziva PV is the first of the Ziva chains we visited, and we fell in love fast! We had the most perfect week in paradise celebrating our anniversary. I absolutely love that there is a private beach and that this resort is smaller. It has a very authentic and intimate feel. Every employee was so kind and helpful. The resort was beautiful overall. Blaze and Pureza were our favorite restaurants, but we did not eat a bad thing there! We rented a beach cabana for the 4th of July and our bartender was so attentive. He kept the mimosas coming all day, and we still think they were the best ones we've ever had! We stayed in a hot tub club room and had a wonderful view. I loved the location and think club level is worth it. You could see the manta rays in the water most mornings, and they were fun to watch. The hot tub was also great at night to relax in and watch the sunset. The spa was wonderful - we had a couples massage and had spa access the entire day with that. We had the entire spa pool to ourself for the entire afternoon and it was great.
Best value vacation
Puerto Vallarta is a very special place for different reasons, and the Hyatt Ziva embodies many of those reasons why. The white sand beach reminds me of Miami and the filled with sea creatures for snorkeling. The service goes above and beyond, and always courteous and respectful. Efrain Cisneros, the bartender at the club side bar, truly made my girlfriend and I feel like true friends. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
Things Just Keep Getting Better!
This was my 4th visit to Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta...This time left husband and kids at home and went with a girlfriend. Beatriz was so helpful before our visit with setting up spa appointments and other requests. She is an amazing concierge! Happen to run into Fernando (the GM) near the lobby and he was kind enough to explain some of the upgrades to foodservice that are planned. He was more than hospitable! I will say that the food has gotten better with each visit. I have only stayed at the club tower and do think it is worth the extra money to be assured larger room and balcony. The big draw to this resort is the kind people that work there, extreme cleanliness, the secluded beach, and close proximity to town. I can’t wait to return!
Could have been a great stay but was ruined by several event!
My wife and I travel often, especially to Mexico and we wanted to try someplace new. We were having a long weekend in Puerta Vallarta for my family (My wife, 3-year-old daughter and myself). We requested a ground floor room so that my wife and I could be outside, ideally by the pool, while our daughter napped in the afternoon. They gave us a ground floor room right by the pool and initially we were very pleased, however, they did not tell us was that there were going to be weddings at the pool right outside the room multiple nights and the pool would be closed down to us during the day as they set up and loud music would be going until 10:00pm, well after our daughter goes to bed. We had issues with the housekeeping staff and had to talk to the manager MULTIPLE times to get them resolved. After our initial problem with housekeeping was resolved, I cut my foot on a piece of glass that was on the carpet next to the bed (we did not break any glass in the room.) After speaking to the Front Desk Supervisor, Miguel Nandi, about our many issues, he offered us Hyatt Reward points to make up for our troubles, I was okay with this. However, the e-mail that he said we would receive a few days after our trip never made it to us. I sent him an e-mail to inquire about the points and have not yet heard back and our trip was several weeks ago. Overall, I was very disappointed in our stay at the Hyatt Ziva Puerta Vallarta, it was not very relaxing when we had to deal with so many issues. We even gave them many opportunities to resolve the issues that came up during our stay and they consistently fell short. I will say that the bar tending/wait staff were all very nice and accommodating. There are many great places to stay in Puerta Vallarta, and we will not be back to this one.
Just a wonderful holiday in a wonderful location - I cant recommend this hotel highly enough it gives you everything that you require - qulatiy private beach, rooms first class and food excellent. We had to be located from room 1711 with a beautiful sea view to another room because of an internal problem which we werent aware of but we were upgraded to the club tower - not complaint at all, but we would have liked a room on a higher level from room 1257; but as it was only for the remaining couple of nights we were more than happy with the upgrade.
