    Room

When I first arrived to my first room, it was extremely hot in the room, there was hair all over the floor and on the sink, and there was spots all over the mirror. To make it worse, the wallpaper was falling off the wall, and there were black scuff marks everywhere Throughout the wall. After going down to check in to complain, they gave me another room on a higher floor. This place needs serious renovations. However it is a great location in Waikiki and in front of the beach and shopping.

    Waikiki Paradise

We were amazed by the caliber of hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a lot of sand in our room from Kiddos and they came up quickly to vacuum it up for us. Beds were surprisingly comfortable, and great location to the beautiful ocean. Club access view was great but food provided was blah. Great restaurants close by from chicken nuggets, pizza and burgers for kiddos to amazing fine dining for adults.

Amazing 4 Star value on Waikiki beach

Exceptional 4 Star value. Amazing location and friendly staff with convenient beach access. The twin queen room was very spacious for a family of four. Plus, the views of Waikiki beach from the room was phenomenal. There's also some great food options within and around the hotel.

Hyatt Regency Resort Waikiki Beach - Never Again!

Hyatt Regency Hotel and Spa Waikiki Beach - Never Again! With previous experiences of Hyatt Regency, especially in Hua Hin and Bangkok ( in Thailand ), we eagerly booked a club room at the above hotel for five nights prior to boarding our cruise. From the very moment we arrived at the check in deskto be ‘greeted’, a surly woman unprofessionally groomed, who seemed to not want to be at work, things were very underwhelming. As we are members of the Hyatt loyalty club we expected to easily get a late check out a few hours past the normal checkout time. The charming check in clerk informed us that we were certainly not a high enough level to get any kind of consideration for any late checkout! Well that certainly made us feel insignificant! The carpet in the foyer was covered in sand, perhaps for atmosphere? We noticed several unkempt people sleeping in the flower boxes in the foyer rather surprisingly. On arriving in our club room we were surprised to find the bathroom had a very outdated shower over bath! Seemed like a last century throwback! I have a mobility issue this certainly made showering a challenge. Another huge surprise was the lack of any amenities whatsoever. including no bathrobes. We have never stayed in a supposed premium hotel that supplied no amenities in room - no bathrobes, no glasses, no cups and saucers,no teaspoons, don’t worry about wine glasses. An empty fridge bar and no drinking water ! Certainly not what one has become accustomed to in a club room at a supposedly superior hotel! More like a backpackers retreat! The next disappointment was the club lounge ! We had looked forward to going to the club lounge as we had fond memories of the many wonderful evenings at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin,Thailand .However this was certainly NOT comparable in any way! A very limited selection of poor quality food, and if you want an alcoholic drink, not only a very poor selection, but a charge for all alcoholic drinks ! In all my years of hotel club lounge use including Sheraton,Peninsula, Marriott, and Sofitel, this was the worst and only lounge to charge for drinks that I have ever experienced. Hyatt Regency Waikiki is simply the worse ! Breakfast was so lousy that we had food envy of the standard buffet breakfast. No egg station, no pancakes, just some tasteless scrambled or hard boiled eggs! Only white bread and one choice of fruit. Where were the fresh tropical fruits Hawaii is famous for? If you want a coffee, stand in line for the coffee machine. If you want a good breakfast, it will certainly not be at the Hyatt club lounge! Then to add insult to injury, the Club Lounge was closed for renovations yesterday. Now it is relocated in a vast windowless hall ,amusingly named the ‘grand ballroom’! It is anything but grand! Quite dirty with leftover breakfast food still on tables at 11am, nothing but boiled coffee in an urn,or teabags for hot drinks and a miserable selection of snacks. We have stopped going as it is a very depressing room with absolutely no ambiance. The Hyatt Regency Waikiki experience has certainly ensured we will not be staying in a Hyatt hotel again. Why would you when there are so many genuinely great hotels with top class club room amenities and lounges ? Overall, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Club room experience was more like a back packing hostel. It seems that Club room guests are an incumbrance rather than an asset at this establishment. The location of the hotel is great but very much let down by the quality of its services and standards. Never again Hyatt!

One of the best hotels in Waikiki

This hotel is delightful. It's a big hotel, but it never felt crowded or too busy. The lines to check in, Concierge, food, etc. were never longer than one or two people. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and very comfortable. Pricing was very competitive. The location couldn't possibly be better; on the oceanfront in the heart of the best part of Waikiki. I strongly recommend this hotel.
