    All Around Excellence

    First and foremost right now, this entire facility felt very clean and safe in regards to COVID-19. In addition, the staff (all masked & gloved) were very efficient, professional, and helpful. The room was spotless (and this from someone who's been traveling with a big ole tub of wipes and wiping everything down anyway). We didn't try any of the restaurants at the hotel, but I can't speak to that, but the access to the Arch was perfect, just a quick stroll to the park, no need to move the car.

    Stay at the Arch

    Overall the room was nice and I loved the view. Bedding left a bit to be desired as there was a tear in the blanket and a stained sheet. Getting the car parked as a bit of a hassle and the valet area is extremely congested. It would have been nice to have more than one valet location to drop off vehicle.

    No real complaints other than no microwave Room is nice Clean Comfortable Huge closet Beautiful I can’t understand why they would think you would want to cool your drinks and not heat your food?! Overall it’s great

    Rough Experience

    We stayed two nights in the nicest room the hotel had to offer, the “Executive King Suite,” expecting and hoping for a comfortable and pleasant stay. I’m a Hyatt Discoverist member and consider Hyatts to be some of my favorite hotels to stay at. Sadly, this Hyatt was the worst I’ve stayed at, despite the outward presentation being nice. The pull-out couch bed was extremely caved in in the middle, and my daughter ended up sleeping on the couch instead because it was so uncomfortable. We didn’t complain about this because it was late when we pulled out the bed and discovered this, and the only solution would have been moving rooms, which for a family of four with lots of luggage is incredibly inconvenient. So we just dealt with it. Or my daughter did, anyways. She’s a good sport. The bed had a blanket on it. That’s right, no comforter, just a thin blanket, and it barely even covered the top of the bed, it was so small. The tub and shower tiles had black hairs all over them. Clearly not cleaned well, and especially not cleaned well for COVID. But again, we didn’t complain because it was too late—we’re not moving all our stuff and our whole family because of this. Hyatt should have had their service together before we got there. So we had to reclean the disgusting tub ourselves. There were two refrigerators, which at first made us think, “Wow, that’s cool,” until we realized there was no microwave. I called the front desk and was blandly told there was a microwave in the lobby. Two refrigerators and no microwave? I made multiple trips all the way down to the lobby to heat up food for the kids over our stay. Unbelievable. How much is a microwave, thirty bucks? For some reason, though this hotel appeared very empty with hardly any cars in the parking lot, the room we were given had neighbors on both sides. The adjacent neighbor to the south smoked cigarettes in their room until our entire suite was filled with cigarette smoke; I complained to the front desk and they sent security up. No more smoke came in but the cigarette smell lingered for hours and we had to crank the A/C down to ventilate the suite. No offer was given to change rooms—though we likely would have refused because of the reasons previously mentioned. Then at 10:30pm, our neighbors to the north came into their room (our kids were well asleep by then and we were trying to sleep) and turned their television on very loudly. After a few minutes of them blaring their TV, I called front desk and they said they would address it. They didn’t, and thirty minutes later of almost sleeping and then being jolted awake multiple times by their loud TV (and worrying about my kids waking up, as they were right next to the wall where the noise was coming from), I called again, and the concierge transferred me to security… for me to repeat the situation myself to security, instead of the concierge, Jordan, telling security himself. 11pm at night and I’ve already complained once about this, and the concierge is too disinterested to deal with it himself. Elevator reeked the entire duration of our stay with marijuana, badly masked with heavy scents. This hotel doesn’t deserve more than 2 stars, and I feel like I got completely ripped off.

    Great experience

    We were in town for a wedding during COVID-19 and were very pleased with our Great experience at the Hyatt. We felt they took extra precaution to maintain social distancing and other CDC guidelines, while maintaining the excitement of the guests in town for the wedding. We were especially pleased when we were able to extend our check out and then store our luggage when our flight was rescheduled. Rooms were clean, bar downstairs was friendly and we were centrally located to everything we needed to do!
