As flight attendants we stay in many many hotels and we know things happen. But ... we went with the Hyatt name bc we were looking for the exceptional in this time of Covid as far as cleaning , etc. We were a little grossed out to find a dirty plastic fork under the vanity. There were no clean wash cloths with our towels and now I question if our towels were even clean. When we went to shower in the morning we found a curly hair In the tub and then found not one but two dirty washcloths in the shower !!!! Ewe! After driving all day this was where we chose to stop and expected Hyatt but got Motel 6 for Hyatt price .... bummer
Great Getaway during Covid
Really needed to get away to someplace with a pool. This hotel was a great choice. They are managing distancing very well. All the employees are doing a great job at reminding about masks and providing what is needed. If additional towels or amenities are needed they will bring them to your room. There is no maid service, but they will pick up towels and garbage if you leave them outside your room. They are also very generous with water. They offer it at check-in and you can request water anytime. There is no food service, but there are a large number of restaurants nearby which offer outside seating and takeout. You can also have food delivered. The rooms are a nice size, very clean and the beds are comfortable. We were thinking of requesting a patio room, but then noticed that the patios were very public. Most people were respectful about only one family in the elevators at a time. Carlos is an outstanding employee and is constantly making sure that you have what you need. The hotel has a fire pit so we purchased all the items to make somores. My grandson invited some friends to join us and we all had a great time. Highly recommend that you stop at a store and purchase some items to eat and drinks to have in the room. Especially if you are traveling with kids.
Excellent following of COVID guidelines
I stayed at Hyatt twice in the past month due to a new travel job in Santa Rosa. I had two special requests for my room which they accommodated without charge. I felt very safe there during the time of a pandemic - everybody wore masks, social distancing was present whenever I was in the lobby, sanitizer available and they suspended room cleaning for multiple night stays. (You can request any toiletries you need). It was easy to get food delivered to the front desk and they didn't touch it. And their shower - MY GOD - the perfect water pressure and relaxing experience!!! My room was very clean and so nice. They easily accommodated a 2 pm checkout. It's so central to a lot of places for me. I had to come late at night after my work and I felt very safe on the hotel and parking premises as a solo woman. The sweet smell of fresh lavender everywhere is so lovely. The staff is really friendly. I'm definitely booking here again for my future work trips!
Hyatt Regency did not disappoint
A great time was had by all. From the sales department, to housekeeping, we had great customer service. The ADA room exceeded my expectations. The room and TV were huge. We loved the technology that you can control the TV through an app and watch Netflix/Disney. The power outlets in the beds headboard was a genius idea. Check in process was great. The teams morale was great. The parking gates weren’t working properly so they had to buzz people in/out. The gym was a good size and accessible. The pool was packed, as it should be (holiday/kids). The parking price was very reasonable. Big KUDOS GOES TO Andrea. She was at the front desk the whole weekend. She was awesome. She had lots of guests/calls/multitasking that she was doing but she remained calm and professional throughout all her interactions. She went above and beyond with her customer service. I called hours after I checked out, to see if housekeeping found my inhaler. She personally went in our uncleaned room to try and find my inhaler. In which I found in my luggage hours later. We will be back.
Understaffed and it shows
After visiting this hotel last September (2019), and giving it 5 out of 5, we felt really good about coming again. We arrived two families for a 2-night stay. The rooms were very good, just like we remembered. Bed was comfy, bathroom and shower room was very spacious. Only downside was the pool, which was the main attraction for the kids. The pool itself was okay, could be bigger but that wasn't the problem - the hotel was very crowded, and there were only 9-10 pool beds to sit on. Imagine tens of people arriving to the pool and having no place to sit - with the beating sun it's no fun at all. Only way to get a place in the pool is to arrive around 8am max, and then see the other people confused and clueless. If the hotel pays extra attention to social distancing then please limit the number of guests! Another thing was towels - pool or regular room towels - there was always a shortage. You have to go to the front desk for towels which is kind of ridiculous. You expect towels to be available at all times. Telling me that "people are taking too many towels" isn't something I want to hear from hotel staff members (nor do I care). I understand the meaning of understaffed, but still expect basic things to be working for guests. Additionally, the breakfast place was closed due to Covid-19 (that we already knew) so it added to the mediocre experience this time around. Bottom line, understaffed + Covid-19 + full guests capacity = not a good equation.
