    Excellence!

The room was beautifully furnished, spacious, and had so much available seating! It was meticulously clean. The Hyatt Regency Sacramento, is conveniently located near the Capitol Building, many wonderful restaurants, has self-parking-next door, and is across the street from a great convention center.

    Consistently excellent ~

This is an annual convention center stay for us, has been over a decade now and this Hyatt Regency doesn't disappoint. Exceptional staff and comfort.

    Heartless

I made a mistake while booking online and accidentally ended up booking 2 rooms online and they wouldn’t do anything for me and I had to pay for the room anyway. I had to wait on hold for a half hour to be told I was just plain out of luck. It was basically a screw you. There are many options for hotels in this area and I will definitely booze a different hotel next time.

Great Location and Value, but Some Areas Could Be Improved

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento and overall had a good experience. The location is excellent, and the property offers solid value for a Regency-level hotel. Our child especially enjoyed the “Lion Hunt” activity — a fun and creative touch that made the stay more memorable for families. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement: Room Cleanliness: We stayed in Room 1002 and found hair left in the shower drain from the previous guest. While the rest of the room was clean, this detail impacted the first impression. Pool Experience: The pool is on the smaller side, and during our stay it was quite crowded and noisy — especially in the afternoon. It was difficult for adults to swim or relax. We understand this is a structural limitation, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re looking for a more tranquil pool experience. Globalist Breakfast in the Lounge: This was the biggest disappointment. Instead of offering Globalist breakfast in the restaurant or giving guests a choice (as many other Hyatt properties do), breakfast is only served in the lounge. The lounge itself is very small and extremely crowded during breakfast hours. We noticed several guests had to take their food back to their rooms due to a lack of seating. The environment was noisy and felt more like a crowded tour group area than an exclusive Globalist experience. Additionally, we overheard guests bringing in others who were not Globalists, and there didn’t seem to be any staff monitoring lounge access during breakfast. It really didn’t feel like the kind of recognition and comfort that Hyatt Globalists usually receive. Suggestion: At other Hyatt properties with a lounge, we’ve appreciated being given the option to eat in the main restaurant or the lounge. This allows guests who prefer more space or a quieter setting to choose accordingly. Offering that flexibility here could greatly improve the experience for Globalist members. Final Thoughts: The hotel has a lot of strengths and we’re glad we stayed. But we hope management considers improving the breakfast experience for loyal Hyatt guests, especially during busy periods. With a few changes, this property could truly stand out.
