    Bad Luck Equals Bad Experience

Ok this review is an outlier as I see many others highly recommend this hotel.... we chose this hotel only to meet up with long time family friends who live close to here as we made our way home from Oregon over the Holidays. First the hotel was essentially empty however on our floor was a group holding a party with yelling- shouting and closing doors throughout the night ( no Covid precautions here??).... making a 5 am wake up terrible. I did tell the front desk and they informed me they would tell security but didn’t notice a difference. Reason for 2 Stars. Second they charge you a $100 for letting your dog stay in the room!! In addition to the room price. It does say this on the Expedia website but missed it and by time of check in was exhausted. Had I known this I would have cancelled or looked elsewhere. Otherwise staff were friendly and room was you typical double full mattress room with no frills. Clean room. Was noisy due to downtown road and by Capital. I’m not one to book at a large convention hotel so only have my self to blame there. Won’t do that again! Would not come back given my experience, dog charge and location ( although next to capital ).

    Exceptional service all around

We recently stayed for 10 nights. The hotel was sparsely occupied due to the shutdown, and we were treated like family. Perhaps a dozen different staff members always greeted us by name, and asked if they could do anything to help us. Amazing. I travel often and have never experienced better service at a hotel, including 5 star hotel stays in major cities.

    Nicely done during Covid

Hotel was pretty empty and the few people we saw were wearing masks, yay! Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. They provided bottled water at check-in which was much appreciated. We parked on the street right in front of the hotel and the parking meters indicated “free parking” so we didn’t have to pay the $20 self parking fee.

    Great experience!

We only stayed one night but everyone was so friendly and nice. The check in process was smooth. The breakfast was delicious! The room was very clean and the hotel was quiet at night. The only concern was while I was giving my breakfast order to the lady in the dining hall, another lady interrupted and snapped at her asking why another order hadn’t been taken to their room yet. The lady taking my order was caught off guard and was embarrassed. She also apologized to me for the interruption even though it wasn’t her fault. She was so sweet and doesn’t deserve to be treated like that.

    Best so far

Kind welcoming staff, spotless rooms and perfect customer service. I wanted to take my mom out and have a nice stay, we had a great time, nice room, the people make the place and management is doing a great job choosing the nicest people.
