Excellent hotel - very friendly and helpful staff. The pool was great and the club lounge was wonderful. Lots of choices and staff that really goes out of their way. Room was immaculate. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It made for an excellent choice!

Excellent choice!
Lovely resort hotel with all the amenities you could hope for. Fantastic gym and pool, multiple dining options and lovely rooms. Highly recommend. An adult only pool, a family friendly and bar side pool, as well as a fun nighttime bar make this an easy choice!

Oct 07, 2024Overall good but be prepared for a few caveats
This hotel is beautiful and welcoming. Has all the amenities. The front desk staff are mostly lovely. The food was mostly good. The points redemption we got was incredible but also the cost of the room was a substantial mark up for Orlando during hurricane season. This place has hefty resort fees but they are waived when you book on points. I’d recommend they just integrate them into room rates as they are hidden fees and if you stay 6 nights like we did it could have added almost $260 (a whole night!) to our bill. That fee also gets taxed. We found the room to be comfortable but we were also in a studio suite which felt like the bare minimum for a family of 4. The waterside was great but we had jet lag and tended to swim later in the day and the slide closes at 6. The advertise a free shuttle to universal but the booking person is only there from 7 am to 11 am and we were told you have to book in advance so no good for team spontaneous. You also have to pay to receive packages which when I asked if I could have a few things sent, I was not informed there is an at least $5 charge per item (more for larger). If I were paying cash and there with a family not for a conference I’d likely pick a hotel with a similar price point on one of the resorts. If you’re here for a conference it’s a lovely place to say and just prepare that per diem for these caveats.

Forget the Ritz, book the Hyatt!
This place exceeded my expectations when it comes to comfort, service, and food. Everything was excellent. Rooms were spotless, elevators are fast, food is phenomenal, staff is friendly and courteous. The pools are gorgeous and well maintained. They've really thought it all out to offer you an excellent stay and they provide. Highly recommend staying here if it is on your radar. Everyone talks about the Ritz, but this place is just as good if not better!

Convention
Hotel was amazing, clean, and service was great. Hyatt staff is very amicable, respectful and efficient. I went for a convention, the hotel staff went above and beyond identifying the areas that we needed to go. Everything was perfect for us.
