Not worth $200
It’s a nice hotel but I will never pay $200 to stay there again. It ain’t worth that amount of money. The scenery is absolutely amazing/ breathtaking. Again, experienced it once and not coming back at those rates.
I thought this hotel was very nice, and reasonably priced for such an upscale atmosphere, It was incredibly clean, and all the staff were enforcing masks which I really appreciated. The hotel is in a very good location near train station and a parking garage. There is a nice bagel place steps outside the main door where you can grab coffee and a quick bite in the morning. The best thing is probably the view of Manhattan. It’s relaxing to sit on a bench and just enjoy the view of the boats and the skyline.
Service at Hyatt House Jersey City
Lynn Woods leads her team with perfection. Notable team members are Alexsis, Jessica, Victoria and Dante. Their customer service is like having royal treatment. They remember names, drink orders and room preferences. Thanks to the entire staff at the Hyatt House Jersey City. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
Very Nice, but No Public Parking (Not that you need it)
I had a lovely stay here, but one of the reasons I booked was because it said it had public parking. It does if three blocks away qualifies, and the valet told me it would be cheaper to valet because there were no in/out privileges at the public lot. So be prepared to spend an extra $40+ a day on parking. Other than that, it's a great location, wonderful view, right next to the Path station and the ferries. You can walk to some great local restaurants. Staff were attentive and helpful.
No wake up call after the daylight saving time began
While checking in, I specifically mentioned that my daughter has an early morning flight and requested a wake up call. The daylight saving time was about to start at 2 am, so in order to be on the safe side I needed something else besides my regular alarm clock. I was assured that we will get a wake up call at 6 30 am and then a follow up call at 6:35 am. There was none. Luckily, my husband called me, so my daughter made it to the airport on time. I travel a lot and stay in various hotels on both sides of the Atlantic, and I never had any problems with wake up calls. I strongly hope that the Hyatt Regency staff will treat simple requests of its guests with more attention and respect.
