2 stars is for the room, birds and guy

Staff was amazing all around the hotel. Friendly nice people. My 2 stars is for the room, birds and guy, 1.) I think the rooms were average looking for a 4/5 star hotel. They need an upgrade. At one point room service took almost 1 hour. 2.) The guy at the rental in the lobby had semi attitude with us. He seemed like we were bothering him when we asked him a question. Sorry I didn't get his name. 3.) Why are there birds in cages at the hotel?? We, tourist don't care to see birds in cages. Birds were meant to fly that is why they have wings, not to be incarcerated in a cage. PLEASE let them free! Also, may you please give the swan a mate. They don't like to be alone.

    Go elsewhere

I was incorrectly charged for my hotel stay and they wont refund me despite multiple attempts to reach out and resolve this. Better to stick to marriott or hilton. Management is not helpful, they just want your money

Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa - Aruba

Heaven on Earth. If you have not been, highly recommend going and the Hyatt Regency is the best resort on the Island! Every aspect of the facility is excellent. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed and will come away not wanting to leave.

Great place, would absolutely stay here again

First time to the island, stayed a week in early November 2023 at Hyatt in the hotel district on the beach. Enjoyed everything about this place! We had a rental car and found the free parking across the street to be very convenient. Only had bar snacks/pizza at Hyatt which were good, so in fairness can't comment on the Hyatt cuisine since we did not really sample it. Coffee in the hotel shop downstairs was pretty good. Tip - Reserve your pool umbrellas and beach spots as soon as you book. We saw people turned away at the towel hut every day because spots were all reserved, and I do not believe the hotel was near capacity during our stay. Most rooms have only a micro balcony, about all it is good for is to sample the weather. If you want to sit outdoors in the evening there are so many quiet places throughout the resort we found we did not miss a private balcony whatsoever. Great staff all around, the bartenders were all terrific. Drinks were consistent; pricey and measured pours. Smoking is allowed at the bars, but they do not offer ashtrays (you need to ask for one). One evening I brought my own bourbon to enjoy with a cigar, sat at a table off the bar and just ordered ice/tipped well. No worries at all, a perfectly accepted practice. This is a fantastic resort, we would recommend it to friends and stay here again. A few things non-Hyatt related we wanted to share... With so many choices within walking distance the dining options seem limitless (and overwhelming at times). Our best advice along those lines - at home do a little online research of menus and reviews to create a short list of places you may view as "NOT us", this simplified the on-the-fly decisions substantially and subsequently we were never disappointed. If you like cigars, bring your own. As one would expect the prices at beachfront shops are really high and the selection is average at best. We packed koozies and a lightweight fold-up cooler in our luggage. On the days we wandered the island and explored quiet beaches this was ideal.

    We love Aruba

I think we picked the perfect hotel in the best part of town. Such a beautiful and clean hotel with an amazing staff! The hundreds of koi fish and the black swan swimming right up to where we ate dinner at one of their restaurants made it extra special.
