Apr 21, 2025Excellent stay in Portland- Would stay there again.
Bed comfortable and environment clean and temp excellent. Breakfast was good. My luggage was delayed by airline and the hotel kept up with the information and let me know as soon as the luggage arrived. This was upsetting and the hotel staff helped to improve the situation.

Apr 12, 2025Good but don’t expect a breakfast like other Hyatt places.
I stayed at this Hyatt location and was impressed with both the accommodations and convenient location. My only disappointment was the $14 breakfast charge. Typically, breakfast is complimentary at Hyatt Place hotels, which is what I've come to expect. I booked through Priceline to save money (their rates were surprisingly better than booking directly with Hyatt), but this meant I couldn't use my Hyatt membership benefits. When I spoke with the staff, they confirmed they would have provided the free breakfast had I booked directly using my Hyatt member status. Ironically, the price difference between booking direct and through Priceline was about $14 per person - the same as the breakfast cost! For $14, I'd rather go out and enjoy a nice breakfast elsewhere. Overall a good stay, just something to consider regarding booking options for future visits.

Hotel is cheap in the winter, which is nice. They've done away with the free breakfast which was really the only major draw to the hotel. They do have a bar which is nice but if there's more than one person in it I've never seen it. Pillows were dense. I had to wait a while for someone to check me in and when they did I got a 50% off food voucher......as long as I bought a drink. This used to be my go to - now it's a last option.

Recently renovated!
Stayed there a lot over the last 10 years. Mostly in the winter when it wasn’t so expensive. They also give a hospital rate if you’re dealing with a member in the hospital. Very helpful friendly staff. Stayed last night and the rooms were just renovated. Very nice! It was getting tired, with stained and scarred furniture. Now the rooms look new, refreshed and great! Bartender at night was friendly too. Breakfast is no longer free, but only 14$

Me time
I loved my stay at Hyatt Place! Beautiful, very comfortable, quiet room with a fabulous view! Staff was fantastic - friendly and helpful - and the location perfect - great restaurants and shopping, all within walking distance. I will definitely be back.
