EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING HOTEL
This hotel has a very common sense approach for dealing with the Covid restrictions. Their indoor pool was open and all you had to do was book it for an hour at a time. The staff promptly sanitized it between users. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was over and above accommodating with everything, including breakfast. The location is near Robinson Town Ctr. so plenty of dining and shopping options were easily available. Also the rooms were very spacious and looked and smelled very clean.
Excellent hotel that respects social distancing
We were driving halfway across the country during the pandemic and needed a safe place to stay. This hotel was amazing. They were willing to put us in a room on the first floor that hadn’t had anyone in it (including cleaning staff) for 24 hours before we arrived. All of the staff was polite and helpful and respecting. Highly recommend anyone driving multiple days plan their trip around spending a night at this hotel.
First Time in Pittsburgh
I just booked a reservation with assistance from John, the Assistant General Manager of Hyatt Place, and it was a pleasure. He was very accomodating on the phone by working with us on an early check in since we are driving in from 5 hours away very early in the AM (much easier to do road trips with sleeping babies instead of screaming babies). He let us know the pool is going to have designated hours for families to come in which is really fantastic and safe. The pool will be sanitized after each family usage and it's open from 8-8. I appreciate the hotel being safe and accommodating. We are looking forward to our stay!
Bugs and stains
Upon entering the room, it looks very nice. However looks can be deceiving. I had a bug crawling on my ceiling and then on my bed, what looked like semen stains on the bedspread. I called front desk about the bug and the man that answered wasn’t sure what he could do because he is scared of bugs so, he put us in another room and let us leave our belongings in the original room since it was around 11pm. I booked this room through Expedia and they did try to get my money back but Hyatt refused since I was moved to another room (which had smears on the mirror and mold in the shower). Hyatt tried to tell me that they are just stink bugs and they just come inside, like it was no big deal. No one should pay $92 for a hotel room and have to share it with bugs and semen stains. Run far far away from this hotel.
Good category 1 hotel in the Hyatt rewards program
Overall clean and comfortable. Expected breakfast options. Hot foods like pancake, and sausage links tasted great. Wish they didn't charge for parking. It's close to a strip mall, so there is no reason to charge for parking.
