Jul 22, 2022Ok for a brief visit
Family recently drove to Indy for a 4 day tourist type visit. This location has pros and cons depending on what you are seeking: Pro -very good area of the city. Lots of dining/shopping in area. Good access to highway to get around -Staff were very pleasant and helpful if needed. Con -bathrooms are simply too small. I understand renovations are being completed right now, but I would strongly recommend increasing bathroom size. The constants colliding with the shower door is very annoying. Other -Breakfast is typical. However, get rid of the styrofoam! (now I say this to every hotel). If you over free breakfast, use paper and real cutlery! It is greener and way neater. -this hotel offers on demand house-keeping. I don't mind this, but other may so be aware. It is OK--after 4 nights we were ready to leave.

Our family of four was less than accommodated. Our stay was very disappointing. Our room had a broken fan, non working light in the bathroom, and the refrigerator stopped working and defrosted on the floor. We were only given two towels and asked for two more. We were provided with two small hand towels in addition. The very next day we looked to get clean towels for the four of us and the receptionist asked us to bring back the dirty towels to exchange them. (Which is super weird to bring your dirty towels to the reception area). There was no housekeeping for the weekend. Sadly, we were not the only family affected by the towel situation. Many families did not have enough for their family’s stay and others were also given hand towels. I definitely think the hotel needs to invest in towels to support their business. The hotel was booked for the weekend and was not prepared. The towels that were provided were also very old and stained. It is a shame management must not think it’s important. Overall the place was ok. Only because the workers were nice. I have seen worse but this hotel is definitely not something I want our team to return to. Very run down and repairs are necessary. Surprisingly, the hotel must be reorganizing with a new name from what used to be the Hyatt. Breakfast wasn’t anything special and looked generic. Maybe needed to rename because of the reviews… Definitely not worth your money or stay. I think they skimp on much needed necessities.

Good room layout but issues
While I was satisfied with the room layout - sleeper sofa, desk, king bed, large TV, refrigerator. The shower had mildew, toilet flushed very slowly, stains on carpet and couch, and our hallway smelled like pot. And room keys kept deactivating. Also no microwave in rooms. Also- wall was rotting near A/C. If you had to choose between this hotel and another one nearby, I’d choose another and pay more.

We booked here after a troublesome booking with another hotel didn't work out. The price was very reasonable, and the location was safe and quiet. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location is close to lots of places to eat and shop, if you don't want to venture very far into the city. We were very pleased with our stay here, and will stay again if we're ever back in Indy.

no R&R
we were there Sat and Sun. and the place was no place to sleep between the kids and traffic. I said the weekend always is full with youth sports kids. So unless you want to hear slamming doors and traffic stay some where else
