    Superb location!

Very comfy beds and pillows. Spacious rooms-fluffy towels! The breakfast was awesome! Close to the wharf and restaurants and Trader Joes! Walking distance to everywhere. Great staff and service. Would recommend to everyone and will definitely visit again.

    Excellent location

Excellent location close to all the tourist attractions of Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Easy & swift check in on arrival (even though we were early the room was available). Warned about queue for breakfast next day (which was correct) being Easter although there was plenty of food stations within the restaurant with great food selections. Room was clean and tidy, although a bit noisy being on the corner opposite the staff storeroom. Would recommend and would use again if in San Francisco again.

Poor Service at the Restaurant – Disappointing Experience

Unfortunately, my experience at the hotel restaurant was very disappointing. The server who served me today was rude and unprofessional, which completely detracted from my visit. I felt mistreated and didn't receive the attention one would expect at a location of this caliber. I hope the hotel takes action, as customer service is paramount, and this experience left much to be desired.

    Recent stay

Hotel in good location, huge choice at buffet breakfast (always very busy but staff very good at getting you seated) and rooms a decent size but bathrooms very small (a tight squeeze for me and I’m petite).

    Lovely hotel. Clean and comfortable

This hotel checked all the boxes! Location-just blocks from the waterfront and all the touristy stuff in all the directios. (Also super close to Trader Joe's) Side note-My husband uses CPAP machine and we didn't find any distilled water except 2 days into our trip at the nearest 7-11 and it was $5 so it might be worth it if you find it early. But wasn't for him. I honestky don't understand why hotels haven't cashed in on carrying even the small bottles of distilled water. They over charge for everything else (this is all hotels-not exclusively this one)in their "general store". Bed/pillow-was perfect. I know these can be subjective but I'm this close to trying to see WHAT brand pillow and mattress they use because the pillows were amazing! As was the mattress. Seriously. Perfect lush firm heaven. That's all. Shower/water pressure - perfect. Good pressure makes showers go faster IMHO. They had it! Not the kind that will jet spray the moles off either. The shower faucet wasn't weird either. And there was a metal shelf that can hold all your personal showering accoutrements. The tub itself is very narrow which I found odd. But not a deal breaker. The toilet flushing was annoying. Again not a deal breaker. Finally a hotel that didn't put the sink IN the bathroom. That is why the room with the toilet and tub are so small (let's say sardine can) because it allows for a more spacious layout as you enter the room. So where the traditional bathroom is was the sink and closet. (Galley style 🤷) It worked. Toilet and tub are in its own room with a door. Very tight space. Which leads me to the rest of the room. There wasn't some lame hard as a rock sitting chair. No. There was a quite comfortable small scale "L " shaped sofa. We had a King size bed. There was still room to walk around. The dresser that had the big TV above it had a lower spot to set your luggage as well as housed your mini-fridge and their coffee machine. There was a desk to the right of it. Not massive waste of space. But room to maneuver. Space to relax after a long day out. Plugs- there was a regular USB with 2 regular outlets on the might tables. I found that the regular plugs were quite loose so even my small charger wouldn't stay in the wall. But I still had the reg USB. There was not a lack of sockets. All were reachable and not awkward. So I shall forgive the loose sockets. 🤪 The bathroom sockets worked as expected. (I've had some hotels that didn't even work and it wasn't a tripped circuit issue either) Then there's the lovely breakfast spread. HOLY MOLY! Yeah they have the usual mass quantity institutional eggs, bacon and sausage as well as a bagel toaster, wonderful oatmeal. BUT they also had a lovely spread of ripe flavorful fruit for yogurt, various sliced cold cuts, cheese, etc. the usual mass produced pastries. You know what? I'm glad they have rules stating no food be taken outside the breakfast room. Because I normally stay in hotels that do and it's just messy and people are gross and inconsiderate. So Kudos to this hotel for standing firm with this rule. It's not a secret people. There's signs everywhere. THE COFFEE WAS ACTUALLY drinkable!!! (Sorry to yell) I always try the hotel coffee but rarely is it more than brown weak watered down swill. Whoever or whatever they brew is actually drinkable. Is it Peets? Is it?!!!! 🤪 Staff- very friendly and helpful. We didn't stay long enough to need any service. So can't vouch for housekeeping. Except our room was clean up on arrival. Odd note- the elevators are smooth and fast and didn't make me sick. It's definitely NOT and Embassy Suites. 🤪😂😂 Bottom line. I would definitely come back. I would highly recommend this place. They even have outdoor gas fire pit seating. Unfortunately you have to walk right by them to exit in one direction and it always reaks of smoke regardless of where the smoking or non smoking section is. I can't fault the hotel for entitled selfish people. But do expect that people will be smoking right outside the door or where ever they please. Not just cigarettes. It's not that I care and yes I know pot is now legal. I come from a state where it's legal. I still don't want to be subjected to the reak of either the second I come out the door. Despite the discourtesy of the other patrons it's not a deal breaker and I would definitely come back.
