Nice
Location was excellent. Service was great. Superior King was a nice size and the sofa was a welcome treat. A/C system is strange as a wall control makes it work but system is on floor. System doesn't allow for levers to be directed so the air blew right over us which was uncomfortable. Floor of room above us creaked with anyone walking on it, let alone the kids that ran around well into the night. Bathroom was extremely tight with toilet and tub/shower smack against each other. Bed was comfortable. Includes breakfast was very good with some unusual treats liked slices salmon and mushrooms. I'm sure the location caused the higher price. Walking distance to Pier 39.

Great stay
Chose this hotel from Princess cruise ship recommendations. 4 of us arrived 2 days before our Alaska trip. Great hotel with an included breakfast buffet that was the best ever. Very central location to Fisherman's wharf. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Outstanding Location
I would recommend this location for a great stay. The accommodations were great and the staff very friendly. The Breakfast buffet was an added perk with a wide selection of items. When you plan to visit San Francisco stay at the Hotel Riu Plaza.

Fairly good……
Generally good. The reception staff were lovely. It’s not great, or environmentally friendly, having plastic and paper cups in the bedrooms and bathrooms (although all the hotels we stayed in had this)! The rules at breakfast are ridiculous for this class of hotel. All the people from one bedroom have to be seated at breakfast at the same time. You are allowed to take NOTHING from breakfast out of the breakfast room. We saw one poor woman having a half drunk glass of juice taken from her. She said she didn’t want to waste it as it’d only be thrown away but the ‘bouncer’ was having known of it. They’ve obviously had problems in the past but I think this should be dealt with differently for the class of hotel.

Nice hotel in a location that is great for access
Nice staff, Clean and good sized rooms with comfy beds. There are complaints about breakfast being busy but its a large hotel so its going to be busy, We couldnt complain we only used breakfast a few times while there as we prefer to go out and have breakfast locally when away but the selection was vast and always well stocked, We didnt experience any huge waits for a seat they were very efficient.
