Perfect for a slower paced Florida ‘beach style’ holiday
We stayed here July 26th to August 9th and loved every minute. Hotel is super close to everything, has a small water park attached and is minutes walk to the beach. Having stayed in Orlando when we’ve previously visited florida we enjoyed the slower pace of life down here and the relaxing beach style holiday we so wanted instead. Rooms are a little dated and could use a bit of renovation and a few more cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. The beds in the bedroom were clean and comfortable, the bed settee however was not comfortable at all (but we somewhat expected this). Russ the night manager was amazing, he was very friendly, explained all the amenities of the hotel to us upon arrival and was always on hand to help if we needed any queries dealt with , any questions about the area answered or just some extra towels. View from the room was nice and we even saw a dolphin come right in near the boats one morning, but the extra $50 a night they charge for this isn’t worth it as some days it could be quite smelly. All in all though we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and would love to return as soon as we can.

Loved our stay.
We absolutely loved our stay at the holiday inn harbour side, the hotel is in a great location and very close to the beach. Our room was over looking the intracoastal water way and we would see dolphins swimming past most days. The room itself was fine, apart from the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable. The staff were friendly, especially Russ Griggs the night manager who was very friendly and approachable, he would always do everything in his power to make sure your needs and wants were met. Thankfully as we booked our holiday through British airways we didn’t have to pay the resort fee, which in my opinion is very high at $33 a night plus tax. Over all we really enjoyed our stay and can not wait to come back.

Our experience at Holiday Inn
We had a terrible experience setting up reservations. The call center and the front desk do not have good communication. The phone line from the call center disconnected multiple times. Alex the manager was unprofessional and was not helpful trying to solve the problem with the reservations. When trying to clarify the issue he did not offer any incentive for all the time we spent trying to solve issue with the reservations. The hotel needs renovations. We noticed homeless people laying around the hallways on the second floor. We also noticed the homeless knew by name the cleaning staff which I thought was interesting. The food at the Jimmy Guanas was not very appetizing but the staff was wonderful. Excellent location, a walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The water splash park was fun for our children.

The prices are too high. Paying for parking???
I have been to this hotel , so many times and always a positive experience. Now, it's absolutely impossible to find a decent package from Toronto without asking for a bank loan. The prices are ridiculous.Outrageous.!!Asking to pay $20.00 USD a day,for parking,to a guest ??? And the fees and extra charges that are not explained. So sad.

BEWARE DONT STAY HERE!!!
I reserved this place for my daughters 13th birthday, and it was a disaster all together. For starters, I was given a price during reservations of $349 for each night for a loft. When we arrived I was charged $1000 for 2 nights. The first night we were harassed by the security and front desk constantly calling the room saying they had a noise complaint. I allowed the security to enter the room showing him that we were just getting there and nothing was going on. The loft was very thrifty looking with old hotel furniture and fowl smell. I sat on the balcony and watched kids run around through the resort which were of another room there because their parents were on the boats out back. Instead of addressing this, they kept coming to my room saying they were getting complaints from neighbors saying kids running around, again I explained my kid was never outside the room. Upon checkout, there was a white lady complaining to the clerk about her being placed in a room next to BLACK people which was very disturbing for her. Once I heard her room number it was next to our room so she was referring to us BLACK people, which was very concerning to me. They then gave her a free nights stay to make it up to her and discounted the amenities. I was livid and expressed this racist distaste I felt from this and immediately said they were sorry but she was unable to address the stay and proceeded to charge me $1000 for my stay. I absolutely will not ever stay here again because although she doesn't like BLACK people, our money is the same color?? What message are they sending by comping her and basically dismissed my concern. And I'm a IHG member, this is horribly sad!
