I stayed November 9-12th in a suite (room 131). Originally we were in a standard room, we had one little issue that the manager, Russ, fixed immediately and we were upgraded to a different room. Russ continued to make sure my stay was perfect. My room appeared to be recently updated. It was right on the water, over looking the harbor- which was amazing. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast selection. I also had lunch outside on the deck, also excellent. The bartender, Kevin, was also great. Within 3 blocks I was able to walk to the beach. I would 100% recommend watching the sunset! Overall- I would recommend this hotel.
This place is so outdated, it’s in need of upgrades , probably hasn’t had any in over 20 years, the beds were the worst we’ve ever tried to sleep in. We could see black mold on the ceiling and encountered roaches. They charged $32.00 a day for parking and the water park next door, would have been nice to know in advance we were being charged for these things, instead they were put in small print and sprung on you at the end of your stay!! Never again.
TRAVELER BEWARE!!! This hotel booking was part of a package purchased through Southwest Vacations. Our reservation was October 26 - 31, 2023. We checked in on the 26th. Went to the first room only to be greeted with a horrible smell of mold & mildew. As if that wasn't bad enough, one look at the carpet, & we just wanted to get out of the room as soon as possible. The carpet was rumpled & badly stained. We went to speak with the manager. She moved us to a "renovated" room. The only thing renovated was the flooring. The flooring was nice. The room was furnished with OLD, worn out furniture, along with a nasty smelling, stained couch. Went back to the manger & requested a full refund. At this time her demeanor went from helpful to rude. Was told the hotel was unable to refund any money because this was part of a package. We called Southwest Vacations and confirmed this was not true. The SW representative spoke to the hotel manager three times. She then told us we did not cancel 72 hours in advance, therefore, no money could be refunded. Two different reasons for not giving us a full refund. The manager finally gave us a partial refund.
Better than expected!
Great location with the beach, local shops and restaurants being just a 5 minute walk away. We booked with BA holidays so the resort fee and parking charges didn’t affect us. The hotel is run down, the rooms have a mildew smell in them but our room was clean and spacious. The beds and pillows were really comfy.
Avoid! Black mold in most of the rooms!
This place is a mess and not healthy! The black mold was in all of the top rooms! All of the rooms are outdated, dirty and we saw several roaches! We had to look at 5 plus rooms to find one that was suitable. Most have sheer curtains that you can see right into the bedroom from outside!
