Joey Pennington was fabulous. He was attentive during our entire stay and made sure we had everything we needed and were taken care of! In fact all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating! Thanks Joey for being so kind!!! Jennifer from Michigan!

John the front desk manager is the bomb 💣 👌 💣
I want to start by saying John the front desk manager has the most exceptional customer I have experienced in this great state of Texas! John took a truly bad situation and turned it into the best experience I have had while living and traveling in Texas foe the last Year and a half. John handled me and the mixup with poise, patience, empathy and compassion! John I thank you from the bottom of my heart for having a heart since this was a business trip and my kids were traveling with me, you made sure they were taken care of as well and comfortable ❤️ during and after this mixup from my company and phone registration. Holiday Inn resort don't know how priceless you are to them. Still I am requesting a salary increase for you, lol but seriously! A thousand Thank yous John!

5 star service and cleanliness
Definitely will be back! My family and I booked a last minute weekend get away to this place and it was definitely worth it. Service was quick, rooms were clean staff was friendly. Joey checked in on us and whatever we requested or needed he assisted quickly, typical hotel do not have personable management and this one did! The drinks were made to perfection and the sports bar below was a popular place along with a clean pool area which the whole family enjoyed!

Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Wife and I stayed here for a business trip/mini vacation 9/14 - 9/18. Check in/out was a breeze. The Gulf view from the balcony was way better than expected. Room was clean as was the whole hotel, restaurant and bar. The pool and spa was clear and refreshing. Short, convenient walk across the road to gulf. Anytime we encountered a staff member, we were met with smiles of hospitality. Always had a good morning from them which makes a great start to your day. Service was top notch. We'll see you again in the future. Thanks for having us.

Joey Pennington
My best friend and I take long weekends to Galveston two to three times a year. We try to take a cruise once a year. For the past several years we have stayed at Holiday Inn Resort. Always enjoy our stay. It has everything we need, pool, restaurant, Jiggers club with great entertainment. We were overjoyed to see that our long time friend Joey is working there now. We met Joey several years ago when he was bartending at another Hotel. We became instant friends with Joey. He has a great loving personality. He loves people and he goes out of his way to please them. He is a hard worker and full of life and energy. To know him is to love him. I’m so excited he has found his new home at Holiday Inn Resort. He is such a blessing and I know he will do great things at his new place. We lost track of Joey two years ago. Every time we go to Galveston we think of him and miss him. How awesome it was to see him last weekend and catch up. Holiday Inn Resort is blessed to have him on staff. We definitely will continue to stay at this Hotel knowing Joey will be there.
