Great Manager, Azlim
Thank you to Azlim for helping us get into a room with a king size bed and helping us straighten out the problem with our breakfast package that was supposed to be included in our package. He provided great service to us! We are very appreciative
Do not stay Here
Upon arrival to this hotel we saw all wonderful reviews. We arrived and our room had no air condition they couldn’t switch the room immediately we had to wait till the next day to get the room. Already annoyed by that we continued on with our stay. We woke up for breakfast in the morning and were greeted by the staff who were very nice. Then we got to the food, everything was in pots none of the food was hot and the food all seemed like it was microwaved food. The selection was very slim, but thankfully the waitresses were very attentive. The pool looked murky and the hot tubs that they had don’t really work they definitely need to be fixed. The rooms were definitely old and needed an upgrade. In our second room there was black mold above the AC unit which was definitely disgusting to see. Moving on to dinner there is only two restaurants to choose from. If you are not an adventurous eater than this is for sure not the place for you. Everything on the menu was very elaborate and not for people who like simple stuff. If you do not like anything on the menu you can purchase stuff not from the all inclusive menu which is all the good options. I’ve never seen a place that has so many loop holes to the all inclusive programs. I’ve stayed at plenty of all inclusive resorts and never had as many issues. The turnaround time for waiting for your food is probably 3hrs so don’t go if your on a tight schedule at all. Definitely one of the biggest down falls. Because who wants to wait three hours to eat food on vacation. Towards the middle of our stay we decided to go out to dinner because we need other options for food. As we were in the lobby talking to the hotel staff regarding an issue in our room, another female guest was running towards the front desk at a rather alarming pace. The woman was trying to tell the staff that her husband was possibly having a heart attack. There was zero urgency from the staff to help this poor women. The front desk staff even had the audacity to tell the women to call 911 herself. We guests of the hotel were running around to try to see if anyone staying there had aspirin or something to give this man in hopes to help. There was zero sense of urgency from the hotel staff. The lady even said that she was calling the front desk constantly to try to get a hold of someone and no one answered so she had to leave her husband in the room alone so she could run downstairs and get someone. We ended up finding a doctor that was staying in the hotel and he went upstairs with us to help. We pushed off our dinner to help one of the hotels guest that they had no urgency to help. We wanted to extend a night because one of our family member came late. Being that the hotel was so dead we figured adding an extra night was going to be so seamless but guess what it wasn’t. They told us that because we booked through a third party they couldn’t extend our stay. And when we called the travel company they said we had to do it directly through the hotel. So we were getting pushed back and forth. The hotel front desk staff was horrible they are all so miserably rude in addition to the manager. You would think being that the hotel just re opened To tourist they would be very welcoming but that was the opposite. It was a constant battle to get anything done with them. This put a very bad taste in our mouth and would be the first and last time we are ever staying here. The cleaning service doesn’t clean your room till your 5th day of stay which is not suitable for the size of that room. There needs to be upkeep. Forgot to add upon checking out after extending a day they wanted to charge us for all inclusive when we didn’t even use the all inclusive bracelets we ate out and didn’t get anything from the hotel on our final day. But because the bracelets weren’t cut off they were saying we had to pay. If it was such an issue they should take the time to make sure you are reminded of the policy. A call reminder would be nice being we were there for 6 days already. It just doesn’t make any sense at all. Just remember this when staying at the hotel.
Just returned from a week stay at Holiday Inn Aruba. Had a great time. Every morning we had our coffee on the balcony looking at the Caribbean Sea with boats sailing back and forth. Then we was up get dressed and go to breakfast. From there it’s poolside or sea side. They are just steps apart. The people are so friendly and eager to help. It is very safe there. Employees all wear mask and they have hand sanitizers all over. Guest must wear masks when inside, but at the pool or sea no mask required. At restaurants first thing you do is fill out a card with name e-mail and hotel your staying. At, that way they can notify you if someone had COVID-19 when you were there .
Great stay everything was clean beach is absolutely beautiful . The food was delicious . Andrés and John from the restaurant were absolutely wonderful . I will be back with the family thank you for a great stay .
Location, Location, Location
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort for 9 days in early August 2020. The hotel was only 20 percent occupied due to the pandemic. Most of the restaurants and shops were open, and of course the pool and beach were both open. We thoroughly enjoyed almost having the place to ourselves. We felt very safe, all of the staff and most of the guests wore masks at all times, there was hand sanitizer everywhere, and people were respectful of giving you "space". The Holiday Inn is one of the older hotels on the strip, but it was very clean and comfortable, and it has the best location smack dab in the middle of the beach. It has a very wide, very beautiful beach with plenty of palapas. We had our pick of where to sit no matter what time we arrived. No reservations needed during the pandemic! We loved the central location right by all of the watersports, the restaurants and little shops. We had a lovely view from our balcony, and enjoyed sitting out there on the chairs provided late in the evening. We would definitely love to stay here again on our next vacation to Aruba.
