Very friendly staff. Hotel and rooms were very clean and wonderful atmosphere. Best hotel pool I've ever seen. Good morning server Raul was wonderful and funny.

    Viva Holiday Inn!

The Good: Viva Holiday Inn Express on Country Club in Mesa, Arizona! Bravo I say! A King Bed room with refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave was well under $100 (AAA, AARP and Illuminati discounts applied). Everything was nice and clean inside the hotel and inside the room. And I do not exaggerate when I say that the bed, bedding and pillows were some of the most comfortable that we have ever experienced! Late check out the next morning and we would definitely stay again. Thank you hotel and staff! The Not So Bad: $100 deposit has not yet posted back to my account.

    Average

It's a Holiday Inn, so it's average, as expected. The good: Nice staff. Good old-fashioned real maid service. The bad: You have to get in the shower to turn it on, getting cold water on you right off the bat. Never seen those kinds of shower doors before. Our front door (and several others) was not aligned properly. So I could actually see out at night! See attached photo. Conversely, people can see in! That is the coldest pool I have ever been in, and I am 63! Unusable. No smoking rule is not enforced by staff. Brought it to the attention of the front desk and they blew it off.

    Nice room and good location

Our room was comfortable and clean. We had housekeeping each day, which is almost unheard of post 2020, but sure nice to have clean towels each day and the bed made. We paid the extra for a pool view and while we will stay here again, won't go that extra expense. The water pressure in the shower was lacking and I'm not sure if it was a low flow shower head or just because we were on the 6th floor or because it was 116° in July and may have been just low from general usage. The really only thing that I was dissatisfied with is that the commode in the bathroom was toddler height and for an older person with bad knees it was a real chore. The staff was great and super friendly. The location was perfect for our needs. And not too far from restaurants and some shopping.

    Good hotel, little old

The beds were soft and so we met the sheets. Not crunchy like most hotels. The rooms were clean, but old. The bathroom door is a barn door that didn’t close completely and didn’t lock. Kind of weird. My kids loved the big pool. Breakfast was really good. We had vouchers for breakfast each day and there was a guy that would ask for them, which is fine, it’s considered a restaurant, but I felt like he was wanting a tip each day. All he had to do was take out plates, which we just threw away ourselves each day. That got annoying. I’m not tipping if I'm not served. Overall, it’s a little run down but it was fine.
