Great hotel in the best location.

You couldn’t get better. Beautiful hotel, great staff, valet parking. Lovely rooms. The pool is so good. We all loved it here. Location is the best. 2 min walk to the crazy bourbon street. Posh hotel You can tell it’s a beautiful old French hotel.

    Great stay!

Exceptional service. Excellent location. Great pool. This is an older hotel with character. The beds and pillows were comfy. The front desk staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. The concierge was extremely knowledgeable and booked tours for us. A perfect stay to see the city.

Wonderful place to stay near Bourbon Street

Location was perfect. Just one block off of Bourbon Street. I saw some of the reviews and there were people that gave it a one star, this is a budget hotel and the price is very good for being that close to Bourbon Street. Doesn’t need a little updating, yes, but I was very happy with the price that I paid in the location of this property!

    Very disappointed

The hotel was adequate and that is being complimentary. The carpets in the halls is filthy and totally destroyed. The room is o.k. But a bit run down and could do with a revamp on the second last day of our stay our room was not cleaned and there were no clean towels. Around six a clock a maid came to clean our rom but we declined as we had just returned from a full day of being out and about. The doorman was very friendly and courteous as was the lady in the lobby who sold and gave very helpful info regarding tours and general all rounded information regarding New Orleans. The same was not to be said about the front desk ladies. My daughter after swimming in the pool asked the front desk if there was a washroom in the lobby or should she go to her room. She was told that they had no such thing as a washroom but did have a bathroom. Also upon checking out I mentioned to the front desk that the plants and shrubbery around the pool could do with a watering as they were dying and a lot of debris was scattered. On the ground around the pool. I was told that if I did not know that the climate was very hot and that even if you watered the greenery twice a day it still looked the same. Not so in my opinion. There is also no breakfast room on the premises although there is a room that is for lease attached to the hotel that looks like it might have been a bar or restaurant.they did have a coffee small station n the lobby that was only available to ten in the a.m. There was also no cream. You would think that the price you are paying they would at least supply some sort of pastry or muffins to go with the coffee. There are better hotels to stay in in New Orleans this is definitely not one of them.

Pros and Cons but Location is a Big Pro

This hotel is located well to the French Quarter. It's about a 10 minute walk to Jackson Square. In the morning there is a Cafe Beignet around the corner. The staff was nice and helpful. The bathroom off the lobby was large and clean. The pool was heated and clean. Nice lounge area around it although there were no towels and no one to help in the lobby for quite a while. The balcony was nice. The beds and the bathroom were small. Neither seemed standard in size. We did have one scary moment in the hotel. My son and I got on the elevator on the second floor and hit lobby. The doors shut and the elevator moved a bit and then just stopped. We were stuck at least 5 minutes and nothing seemed to alert anyone. When we finally started moving again it said we were getting off at the lobby but it was the 3rd floor. We warned a woman getting on the elevator but she got on anyway. We watched the floor indicator and it seemed like she didn't get stuck. We discussed taking the stairs but we had our suitcases with us so we rolled the dice and got on the elevator and made it to the lobby. When we informed the staff they said "Oh no! We'll let maintenance know." They didn't seem overly concerned. I was a bit freaked out. I mean it ended fine but 5+ minutes is felt like a long time.
