A nice place to stay.
While spending a couple of days with my son I decided to book a room at this property. It was reviewed well through Trip Advisor patrons and I have always had great success with IHG properties. This property maintained my IHG appreciation. Whereas the property is beginning to show its age, it was well maintained. The staff were friendly and professional and the breakfast was consistent with other HI-E properties. One of the things that stood out for me was that it was convenient to everything. Shopping and restaurants, not to mention a movie theater were all within a block or two. I would use this property again and recommend it for folks who like convenience and consistency.
Awesome time i was there for awhile and every staff is great but you have a new breakfast lady she the most enjoyable person i ever met. Got tell you she greeted us in such a cheerful uplifting way, but what top it off wen ask how was she doing her response was peachy man it stuck with my husband all day his answer was just peachy. Shes a lovely lady great job on hiring her she brings a brightness to your breakfast area
Cozy inn between Vineland and Millville
Holiday Inn gets top marks for keeping it simple but very good. Tucked away from the road it is very quiet. Excellent breakfast - better than average for those that are “breakfast included”. Near shopping and plenty of restaurants.
Craziest Experience Ever in a Hotel
The best thing to be said about this hotel is a front desk staff member named “Sage.” She enthusiastically greeted us and made suggestions for things to do in the area, like going to the Delsea Drive-In. Little did we know we would have an encounter with her during the first night of our two night stay. Getting into bed around 11:00 that first night was very surprising to say the least. The mattress pad, mattress and platform was soaking wet! We called Sage who came up and profusely apologized for this experience. We never discovered what had happened, but it seemed that someone, a previous guest or housekeeping, spilled a sizable amount of a beverage or water. Sage did everything possible to remedy this, gave us credit for our room that night, and had a brand new bed with a wonderful mattress the next night for us. I was concerned that the spill was some kind of cleaning chemical because it soaked through my pajamas and onto my skin, but I’m hoping it was just water. Our room was slightly outdated, with the armchairs showing wear and tear and the curtains having a large burn spot on them. Our room was close to the elevator even though I had requested a quiet room away from the elevator, and people congregated in the area and talked - loudly! The walls seem to be paper thin since we could hear the actual conversation of people in the next room, and we could even hear their bathroom noises from our bathroom. The hotel has a strict “quiet” policy that begins at 10:00 PM which is a good thing. The breakfast is standard fare, but they do have Cinnabon rolls which are yummy. The outside of the hotel looks nice and is in a safe area with plenty of restaurants within a mile’s distance. The lobby is very small, but the suites have plenty of room and the bathroom was a nice size. The hotel was not a good value for the money in spite of what happened to us with the wet mattress. The staff seemed nice, but the absolute best part of this particular hotel was the sweet young lady, Sage.
I am local. Needed a place to stay overnight decided to go to the Holiday Inn Express up the street. I have stayed here before when I had to leave my home for exterminators and wanted a place I could rest and it is nice...BUT the POOL!! The night I stayed I asked the night manager if the Hot tub was open he said sure until 11 pm. So I went to my room got on my suit headed down to the pool and spa area...Walked in one tiny hot tub filled with a few people and their CHILDREN who were jumping in and out of the pool...One of them was playing music so loud on their little blue tooth box very offensive. Three people 6 kids. No Lifeguard but there were adults but the kids might as well been unsupervised. Even though there was a sign NO JUMPING in the pool the kids were running and jumping. I saw once somebody go into the laundry area and was hoping somebody would have said something but nobody not once came in and check. The adults there were consuming alcohol about 10 minute I got up and left. The music so loud and offensive. Management should respect their other guests. I complained but have a feeling nothing will be done.
