    Worst hotel in Lubbock

    No ice machine working, pool out of order, elevator not working, the fish in the fish tank looked depressed, no door handle on the door for the stairs - which we had to use because the elevator wouldn't work and they wouldn't put us on the ground floor (despite the hotel being less than 15% full). Breakfast was disgusting, some of it was stale or old. TV barely worked. Shower couldn't go warm. Floors were dirty. Room was dirty. Will NEVER stay here again!

    HORRIBLE customer service!!

    HORRIBLE! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone! The customer service is horrible! We’ve been waiting on the manager to return our call for days! We got sick walking into the cigarette smoke smelled room! My mom and I are both allergic to cigarette smoke. Her face immediately started itching. I have lupus and a couple other autoimmune conditions so the smoke smelled room thru me in a flare. And we didn’t even step foot in the room just opened the door to the room and smelled the smoke. We went to the desk and they were booked so they couldn’t accommodate a different room for us so we had to leave. We had a hard time finding another room in town because of the sports tournaments. This was supposed to be a fun trip for my mom and I but ended up being stressful and causing us health issues. Very disappointing!

    Worst Hotel in Lubbock TX - do not stay here!

    Stayed Jan 3 – 5, 2025. We checked in for a premium king suite. We got a king bed, it wasn’t a suite, but except for the fact the floors were filthy, it was okay. We left for the day at 10am on Sat Jan 4th. We did not return until 11:20pm that evening. We went to our room – our keys had been de-activated. We went to the desk, asked why? Man had “no idea”. He re-activated ONE of our card keys. We opened the door to our room to find it exactly as we’d left it at 10am that morning. NOT cleaned/touched. Back to the desk. Clueless, and no manager. We got towels, but no I’M SORRY, no… how can we make this right? Nothing! I asked for a 50% refund on the 2nd night stay for compensation. He said NO, moved us to an “upgraded room”, the premium king suite. IT WAS FILTHY! Now it’s after midnight. Hair in the shower, toilet paper stuffed in the bathroom vent, black stuff smeared on a bed pillow, no phone in the room, holes in the blackout curtains, floors were filthy!! Refrigerator was hot. I was appalled. Next morning AFTER we checked out and complained again, they charged my card $120 (for the other room) instead of refunding any money we had already paid. We did not ask to be moved from our first room. Corporate office so far is unresponsive. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! This is a “CHOICE HOTEL” group – DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

    Worst hotel ever

    Do not stay here. This is not a choice hotel at all. List of issues—Pool out of service,Ice machines out of service, Not one car In parking lot,Some of the room windows were broken, curtains flapping outside in wind, AC not working, had to reset breakers for both rooms ourselves, No towels In rooms, No hand towels, No wash cloths even after we asked, lamp had no bulb, light in the bathroom was hanging down….just do not stay here.

    WASTE OF MONEY. RIP-OFF. FAR BELOW AVERAGE!!!

    Old hotel! Don’t waste your hard-earned money on this place. RIP-OFF!!! That's my assessment. The Pros: 1. Ice-cold AC in the rooms. This was the major positive for this hotel. 2. Good water pressure in the shower. 3. Hot water in the shower. 4. The hotel had some really nice shampoo and condition provided in the bathroom. The Cons: 1. The hotel looked abandoned when my 14-year-old son and I arrived. I was a little unnerved about staying there because it looked like a place that would be frequented by "room by the hour" guests. 2. The hotel had the general look of "we don't care if it looks old or the floors don't look clean cause we don't want customers checking in to begin with." 3. The room was clean but very shabby looking, but the beds were hard, the blankets were lumpy, and the ceiling was not painted in one section and looked like it had been recently patched by maintenance but not finished. 4. The TV was a decent size, but it was old, fuzzy picture quality, and had maybe 35 channels. My son and I used my laptop instead to watch football because the quality of the TV paled in comparison to my laptop. Seriously, this establishment can’t invest in some Smart TVs with a decent cable package. 5. The bathroom faucet in the sink and bathtub were covered with grime and need to be changed or scrubbed extensively. 6. My reservation listed I was traveling with a teenager so you would think we would have ample towels in our bathroom. Nope. We did not. We had 1 hand towel and 1 shower towel. I had to ask the clerk for more towels, and he sighed and said, "Okay. I guess I can get you more towels." It was late and we had just gotten back from the Texas Tech game, so I didn't feel like arguing because he promptly got me more towels. But I was thinking "Guess...you guess. That's your dang job." 7. The hotel advertised free hot breakfast on the Choice Hotels app, but when we checked in the clerk said the dining area was under maintenance so we would not be able to eat there. Kind of glad considering the hotel's general appearance was shabby, shoddy, and shameful. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. As a matter of fact, I have two more trips planned in the next month where I reserved Choice Hotel properties in Oklahoma. I canceled both reservations today and booked reservations with Hilton Hotels instead. I'd rather spend an additional $20 - $35 per night and receive far better service.
