Terrible resort
I booked thru Hilton and we got there late in the evening. Check in was slow. And we were exhausted because we had flown from the east coast mainland. Once in the room it was NOT the nice tropical paradise advertised. It looked like a run down eco o lodge. Carpet was worn beds were hard you get the picture. I went to take a shower and the shower handle literally BROKE OFF in my hand. So no showers after such a long day. We called the front desk and was basically told oh well we will send someone up tomorrow. Then as we went to sleep about 10,000 I’m not kidding decided to land in the trees and start screeching. Now I know the hotel can’t control migrating birds but after all the bad stuff they could at least put us in a different room. Oh and the birds come back every night l. As for the rest of the vacation the staff was NOT friendly and acted like they didn’t want to be there. We tried talking to manager to no result UNTIL on our last day I think someone from Hilton called them because then he wanted to help us out and actually move us to a room. This is not the service I expected from an all inclusive hotel. I would NEVER stay here again

Very nice resort- choose Makai Tower
We had a lovely stay at Hilton. The pools and grounds are lovely and its fun watching the dolphins. Nice lagoon where you can swim right next to turtles. I would highly recommend the Makai tower as it is walking distance from all the action and parking. The tram does not run all that frequently and I would have been frustrated with time taken to get to other towers. Parking is very expensive. Rooms are large and there is good storage space. Plenty Restaurants within a 5 minute drive.

Don’t go to Ocean Tower
Worst place ever. Ants are all over the rooms. I have moved to two different rooms and they have been in both rooms. Rooms are outdated for the exuberant amount of money you pay. The trams don’t work and you have to walk. This is a 62 acre property. Staff are not friendly and rude. It has just been a horrible experience. I will never come back here again. I do not recommend this resort to anyone. There are so many other ones that are much nicer. I have had to throw away food because of the ants in the first room and now in the second room. We have called many times to have them come spray for the ants but so far that does not seem to do much. I would just like one night if any free sleeping bags

Far away from many places
We went here for a birthday vacation. We like to travel and get to know a place so the resort wasn’t for us as it was far away from the main cities. Basic older hilton at the ocean tower and would not recommend getting a room here as it is the furthest away from parking and the lobby. The tram to get to the hotel is slow so sometimes walking or taking the boat is faster. There is a resort fee everyday here as well as a parking fee. We mostly ate outside of the resort and as the restaurants inside the hotel were unreasonably expensive. Seems like a great place for families or large groups but not couples.

Stay Away
Upon check in we were greeted nicely by a woman named Annie--she was great. We got placed in the Palace tower that is so outdated. Paint chipping everywhere. I can't even believe this is one your hotels. In addition our room is a 20 minute walk from the pool and the shuttle only comes 4 times an hour and is even worse while waiting in the sun. Housekeeping had been horrific. Only halfway cleaning our rooms. I had a man smoking on his balcony daily and the smoke of which I am deathly allergic to was going into our room each day. I had a massive headache from it and am now suffering breathing problems on my vacation. We want to check out but the last-minute hunt for a new hotel room would cost us around $850 a night at a neighboring hotel. Every time I called the front desk I can never get a hold of anyone. It's so packed they can't keep us with the requests. The monorail was constantly broken and running slowly. WHich means we had to walk upwards 15-20 minutes to get to our room at least 3 times a day. Never again. Worst hotel we have ever stayed at.
