Stay tuned….Update planned
We spent three nights at this property. It is a good location for enjoying the downtown, water fire celebrations, and nearby bike paths on East Bay Trail. The hotel is dated and tired, as stated in other reviews. However, the property is slated for a refresh.

Did the job
Clean room, didn’t know we had to REQUEST a fridge until our last night. Very close walk to everything downtown and to the Amica and convention. The VIG restaurant inside the hotel had really good food and drinks. Rooms around us were being renovated and that started for two days at 7:45am. Pounding, saws, drilling etc. very annoying and no one told us about this.

Very good place at a central location!
Went to Providence on a trip to show my friend around to see if she wanted to move to the area. Hotel was at a great central location to the highway. It was easy to check in. Staff were very friendly. And they were awesome because I need a refrigerator for insulin and they brought it up immediately. Self parking was easy but you do have to pay like 35 bucks or so for it per night. We had a double room which was a decent size to move around in for 2 people with medium suitcases. Room is isn’t t anything fancy. It’s a little dim and could use some pizzazz. But it was comfortable and the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. They have built-in shower shampoo and conditioner if that’s important to you. Fresh towels each day. There’s a Starbucks around the corner but you have to go outside the hotel for it. But it’s literally like a 5 second walk. The fire alarm went off at 2 am. So we had to walk down 6 flights of stairs. There was also some type of gameplay convention because every night there were people sitting all over the lobby floors playing card games. We had to step over them so that was annoying. Overall it was a very good stay and it was everything we needed at a central location. It was a little expensive but I think it was this time of year.

Stay at your own risk
My husband’s car and 2 other customers care was broken into while parked in the hotel’s lot—after we paid $32 per night for parking. Not only did the hotel fail to provide a secure environment, but they also had the audacity to tell us they’re not responsible. The manager casually mentioned she saw the damage when she arrived and had already filed a report with the company. When I asked for a copy to submit to our insurance, I was told it couldn’t be shared because it was for internal use only. Are you kidding me? We paid for parking, trusted this hotel with our property, and now we’re left to deal with the aftermath on our own. I’ve stayed at Hilton hotels across the country and never experienced anything this appalling. This location is a disgrace to the Hilton name. I would never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to stay away—unless you’re okay with paying premium prices for zero accountability and absolutely no security. Stay here at your own risk.

Will neve stay again.
We booked a joining rooms and the rooms were filthy. There was a sticky substance under the rim of the sink, the bathroom door was filthy, the shower handle was broken so you could not tell if the water was hot or cold, the towel holder in the shower was broken on one side, stain on the carpet, hairs on the bed sheets, and the sheet felt old. The attached restaurant was very nice and the employees of the restaurant were a lot nicer then the ones that work for the hotel. You would think for the price that was being charged that you would better train your employees and keep your hotel from looking old and run down.
