No respect or regard
I stayed at this hotel in providence on Atwells. When I first got there there was something wrong with my first room then I was moved to another room this room had dog hair on the sheets as well as blood: I reached out to manager and showed the video below upon checkout. This is dog hair which I didn’t have and blood which isn’t mine. I have Afro-centric hair and it’s curly. They even took my deposit and did not return it I was told to email Kevin and he never responded so I reached out to another person and still nothing. This hotel service is a no for me. I still haven’t heard back. Or received my deposit.
Awful hotel. Front desk clerk was rude and blunt. Rooms are dated without microwaves or refrigerators. When asked for a fridge they refused and also refused to move my room. Bathroom was without any soap, restaurant was closed, housekeeping entered without knocking, were noisy and coughing lots during the covid19 situation. Save your money and stay elsewhere
Outdated Hilton with no management
I stayed at this hotel twice. The rooms are a bit old but has some "upgraded" features such as a big TV with HD channels and an updated alarm clock. The bed is quite comfortable too. The bathroom is functional but small and very outdated. There is no lounge on this hotel, Hilton Honors Diamond Members will be given free breakfast in the restaurant and one day at the week (Thursday) there's complimentary appetizers at the bar. I am pretty sure this was done on purpose as Thursday usually no frequent guests stay at the hotel. The food at the breakfast is very good but I haven't tried the dinner. Parking is a little tight and expensive, but, it is what it is. On the last week of Feb/2020 we were staying there as a group of 5 and in one morning there was no hot water. Despite several requests, manager never contacted us and there was never a manager on duty every time I checked the front desk. There was only employees using the same standard speech. I asked to speak to the general manager, left messages, none returned. We asked for compensation for the lack of hot water and it was never responded. It looks like the manager at this hotel hides from guests whenever there is a problem, so, I wouldn't recommend staying here because if there is a problem that requires escalation, it won't be resolved.
This was my second time at this hotel and it was great. No problems whatsoever. Restaurant was great as well as breakfast. Nice to have computers available downstairs to do my printing. View was amazing
Providence Downtown Hotel
I stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights. Check in was easy, the clerk was friendly and very informative. The hotel is nice and very clean, but starting to show some aging. Bedding was very comfortable. Breakfast was better than most Hilton’s I’ve experienced. The hotel location was perfect. It’s an easy walk in the downtown district or to Federal Hill. I highly recommend this hotel.
