Negative Experience
My first experience at this resort is okay. Pros- The pool and lazy river. I also liked being able to have my own float and the lazy river. Cons- Checking in for the water park was not easy to find. We thought the gate where you go to check-in was just for guests (we bought day passes). It was also difficult to find the lobby due to renovations going on. The South lobby is closed, we had to go to the North lobby. Most of the staff was rude especially the guy at the front desk. My husband and I will not be returning to this resort due to the rudeness of staff. Suggestions: better signage is needed especially by the gate where you go to check into the waterpark. I would have the sign where you can see it from the parking lot. The reason we had difficulty finding the check-in is because we thought gate was for hotel guests. You could not see the sign until you got really close to the gate. If the sign had been where you can see it in the parking lot it would’ve made things a lot smoother.

Staycation
Had a staycation with my kids, ages 14 and 10. Son had a blast at the water park. Sadly the water park closes at 6pm. Main pool at 10pm. Rooms were a decent size with a refrigerator, coffee machine, but no microwave which kind of sucks.. Some areas in the resort are under construction.

Not worth the money!
I wanted to treat myself to a nice birthday, so we rented a room for 3 days. I instantly regretted my decision when we got there! The first room we were assigned was so stained and gross I could not even put my stuff down. We were moved to another room that was pretty stained but had tile floor. There is construction everywhere and half the resort was closed. The lazy river was more of a dirty fish tank without fish. The only place to have dinner was basically a room with chairs, no TVs, nothing. Slim Pickens was the only decent place on the property, and it closed at 4pm. One pool for all the guests after the lazy river closed - all in all it was worse than staying at a motel 6 in downtown Phoenix for 4 times the cost. Really disappointed. I've sent messages to corporate and no response, not that I expected them to care.

Miserable
Absolutely the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel sorry “resort” I paid Resort prices for a nothing more than a glorified motel 8. There was blood on the bed the room was not the room we booked the bathroom was dirty with a stained tub from the previous guests. The toilet seat was not even attached to the toilet on one part. When I called down and explained it to the manager we were offered no solution except we can change rooms or get a new hotel. We changed rooms to the safe type of room again not the one we booked and it was better but had a yellow stain in the bathtub which we asked the bellhop to send someone up to clean it while we were at our event……. It was never cleaned so i personally cleaned it. We asked for help with our luggage and a cooler the bellhop never came back to help us instead told us to leave our vehicle on the other side of the resort and come back for it which we did and then moved our vehicle around the front and walked past the Bellhop with our bags and coolers……… didn’t say a word. Same thing on our check out day, watched us leave without saying a word. With personally over 8 years as a F&B manager at a luxury hotel brand (JW Marriott & Westin) I expect similar service to what I ensured my guests had, this was absolutely the opposite of service. I will never stay or recommend this hotel ever again. Just for verification I have photos of all of my “claims”

The hotel common areas and the rooms we reserved were seriously outdated and dirty
Wow, shame on Hilton and shame on me. I read reviews regarding the cleanliness of this "resort". I should have taken heed and cancelled my reservations. My husband, myself and our 2 grand-kids stayed for 4 nights. The 2 rooms we reserved and the hotel itself were very outdated and unclean. Since the trip I have sent a letter to the General Manager of the hotel with photos, the CEO of Hilton and the Customer Complaint Center expressing my concerns. Nobody even sent a courtesy response to the email. We have been loyal Hilton Honors members for several years. We will no longer be staying at any Hilton properties. I urge anyone who was planning on staying there to cancel your reservation.
