Very fun resort, family friendly and excellent staff members made our trip so much fun. Everyone was so nice and ready to help us with anything we needed. The lazy river and water park were a blast. Drinking daiquiris and enjoying the desert fun floating around the river, what could be better?
We LOVE this hotel. Yes - it needs a tiny facelift, BUT it is incredible for families. Especially at this price point. We stayed in a King bed suite, so we had the baby in a pack and play in our room with a balcony and then our 6 year old was in her own room with a pull out couch. I think the Casitas are closed but next time we come we will definitely try and get one of those. If you are a couple looking for a romantic time, and you don’t like kids everywhere, this probably isn’t the resort for you. I cannot say enough about the staff at this place. At the pool, the bartenders and cabana/check in staff are awesome. We have a 8 month old baby, and Greg made sure she was fully accommodated with a pack and play AT THE POOL Y’ALL, and Sam set it all up like a boss. The water slide is so perfect for kids - our 6 year old daughter was obsessed. DO NOT SLEEP on food. Best chicken wings I ever had. Look - this ain’t the Four Seasons, but if you have little kids (under 10) and you wanna have a great vacation somewhere with hot weather, fun pools, great food and lots of drinks - this is IT.
Not worth the money, overcrowded and dirty
We had a ground floor room which wasn't cleaned properly, hair/particles on floor and mold on base boards. Really run down. Balcony faces a brick wall which seems common for ground floor rooms, asked to move to a higher floor but told they were at capacity - no accommodation at all. The resort is packed to capacity - many restaurants aren't open however they are still charging full price for the rooms. Breakfast options are either room service or coffee shop in lobby which is actually quite good. Pool is overcrowded, Lazy river/slide area opens at 10am, line forms from around 9/9:15. I joined at 9:30 both days and was able to secure good chairs, for us it was round by the Jailhouse on the far side, quite a trek but its quiet and peaceful. Staff at pool are great and very friendly. Hotel operator staff are sub-par. I can't believe this is a Hilton property and you won't either. Resort fees and taxes are very high considering the hotel isn't running like a proper resort - more 'Faulty Towers.' Miniature golf was great - my son loved that, full 18 holes! Lazy river is slow and doesn't seem to push you round very well. Water looked dirty. Will not be back.
Good stay with kids
Excellent stay for me and my daughter. She loved it! I recommend choosing the renovated room which is where I chose . nice and Clean. The lobby tower seem dated. The water park was fun. Recommend for smaller children. Maybe not be as fun for older kids. Bar food and drinks were good. Breakfast was ok but a bit pricey in my opinion for what you get. Not the most luxurious hotel but good for family revel with small kids.
I always love the pointe locations. Being a local these are always my fav staycation spots. Family or solo trips I always have a great experience. I also love the fact that if you cannot check in early you can still pre check in and use the water parks and pools.
