    RE: Excellent Stay During Covid-19

    My wife and I traveled to the Embassy Suites with another couple. We stayed on points. Both rooms were on the 8th floor - we had upgraded to a corner suite and it was worth it. We had a very nice round table upon which we could play cards in the evening. The state-wide mask mandate is definitely enforced within the hotel. The pool and hot tub are open but you need to make a reservation at the top of the hour. The occupancy is tightly controlled so it wasn't crowded. For breakfast, we lined up and took our turns ordering. Weekends are limited to scrambled eggs with choices of toppings (cheese, onions, peppers, ham). Also options for bacon, sausage links, potatoes, toast, muffins, and donut holes. The kitchen workers put all on plates individually - no self-serve. We next moved to the beverage/cereal station where you could order juice, milk, and coffee. Cereal was also available at the table - again all served individually. We took plates to tables which were well-spaced. I was very pleasantly surprised that all of the breakfast items were well prepared and tasty. I was afraid that the eggs would be dried-out and/or cold but they were moist and warm. We missed the happy hour both nights so can't comment on it but we were issued tickets for 2 drinks each per night at check-in. I spoke to the night auditor just before 7 a.m. one morning. He told me that they are running about 40% occupancy during the week and about 70% on weekends. He told me that they are doing much better than many others because they are keeping the rates low. He didn't say so but this Embassy is one of the few in Bloomington offering a hot breakfast. I know as I called many of them. No housekeeping unless requested. Since we stayed only 2 nights, I tracked-down a housekeeper and traded-in used towels for clean ones. I was very impressed with the effort this hotel made to make everything as normal as possible.

    Worst Hilton

    I stayed at the Hilton room 725 and it was my worst stay ever! I can believe it we had to sleep with a BOXFAN the entire stay! I talked to front desk on Saturday which obviously NOONE took note of it because No One contacted me . It is 4 in the morning and i cant take it any longer i talked to someone again just now and they told me there was nothing they can do.... This was by far the Worst Vacation! I actually see a lot of complaints about the air!

    Cannot have control over AC and Heat at the same time--what, at a HILTON??

    Slept terribly, as there the room was TERRIBLY HOT! We were told that the room towers have an older HVAC system; thus it is either heat or AC, but not BOTH, in the rooms at the same time. This reminds me of my dorm room in the 1980's, not a HILTON property. Annoyingly, the hallways, the common areas, the reception, etc. were all quite cool & pleasant; we were told that these areas were under a newer HVAC system. Gee, maybe we should have slept in the hallway or the lobby, then? Still cannot believe this is acceptable: don't we choose a HILTON for its superior qualities?

    Classy, Caring Staff at this Classy, Ideally Located Hotel

    As Minnesota residents we look forward to opportunities to stay at this classy looking hotel with its very welcoming staff in all areas! The rooms are well kept and the delicious food in the restaurant is presented with just enough flair to remind you that you are staying at a high end hotel. The good part is that you know you are not paying the high end prices to enjoy the ambiance. The restaurant manager and bartenders are very accommodating. The hotel's location - with regularly running free shuttle rides to/from close-by MSP airport and the Mall of America - makes it geographically ideal. If you have the time, take a walk in the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, right across the street. The rooms on the east side have a direct view of it. Two of my favorite staff members are Rachel Lagace, the longtime Front Office Manager, and Sharmin Saigo, a Front Office Supervisor. Guests always feel in good hands knowing they are there to respond to any needs. They are outstanding representatives of both the hotel and of Hilton in general! Elissa and Eliza are two other stand outs at the Front Desk. They are both memorable in how they have helped us and others out! I think the phrases "genuinely gracious" and "wanting to help" define the attitude of these two and that of Rachel and Sharmin. If you don't feel welcome upon check-in - at any hotel - likely your stay will be mediocre at best. Luckily this hotel knows how to start your stay off right with well trained staff at the Front Desk who can and will address any concerns during your stay to make sure your stay continues well. Even though I travel a lot, I love staying at this hotel in my home state for many reasons with staff/hotel representatives being a top reason!

    PARK AND FLY !!!

    Good park and fly! Close to the airport . The shuttle was great! The room was nice and clean and most of all the bed was comfortable. Enjoyed our meal at the restautant / bar. We will stay here again.
