NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!
The worst stay in history. Just give the workers what they want! Hilton makes a ton of money yet don’t want to pay their workers. Please do not stay here!! Worst decision ever! My husband and I was visiting Hawaii to celebrate wedding festivities and spend time with family hoping for a relaxing getaway but we got loud strikers and had to go and retrieved towels and toilet paper on our own. Couldn’t even get the service we paid for! Also our hotel was changed at the last minute. The water in our hotel took hours to get hot and would have to shower in ice cold water. We booked an ocean view but got a partial ocean view with all the buildings blocking the view, how disappointing and frustrating! The service was horrible the stay was horrible. The food at the breakfast bar was not worth $30 per person it was literally egg, rice, sausage, and bacon. I was expecting some sort of extravagant breakfast but we got mediocre breakfast that was over priced! I could’ve went to the IHOP down the street for better breakfast. Also I feel so bad for the stores and restaurants nearby the hotel having to deal with the strikers and loud noise. Their business could potentially be affected due to Hilton strikers! GIVE THEM THE PAG THEY DESERVE! We did not spend our money to provide our own services! We pay for the experience and service! What a waste of our hard earned money for a relaxing vacation instead we got a loud and unsettling experience.

**“A Dry Night in Waikiki: How Hilton Hawaiian Village Turned My Self-Care Retreat into a Comedy of Errors”**
I’ve stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village before, but my most recent visit on November 1, 2024, was…well, let’s just say I left with a great story and not much else. What was supposed to be a last-minute getaway for relaxation turned into a rather unintentional survival experience. Here’s the scoop: Let’s start with the fact that I decided to splurge on a penthouse floor room in the Tapa Tower. Fancy, right? Well, it should’ve been. But upon arrival, I quickly discovered that the “resort” aspect was, let’s just say, questionable. The scene? Picture this: a 35-year-old solo traveler wandering around the property in search of a simple bar with decent seating, a safe vibe, and—just a small luxury—a bottle of champagne. Spoiler alert: didn’t find it. The bar options? Think fast-food tables without the burgers. I meandered around for a good 30 minutes looking for the second-floor restaurant I’d read about. I finally spotted it, but there was one problem: I couldn’t find a way *to* the second story. An amusing predicament, right? A dry bar experience, you might say. After that, I decided to just settle in my room. But then came the kicker. I knew there was a labor dispute, but I had no idea it was going to be like trying to sleep through a rock concert. The protests outside lasted well past 10 pm. I considered bailing on the stay altogether, but given the $75-a-night parking and no car to take, I didn’t relish the idea of a cab home at that hour. And then—brace yourself—the protest started up again at 6 am. So much for waking up refreshed! I was out of there by 9:30 am, feeling more exhausted than when I arrived. It’s fair to say this stay was more hostel than Hilton. Honestly, Hilton management should’ve put a disclaimer front and center: *Warning: Self-care may be difficult to achieve due to excessive noise and lack of champagne*. Until they can get these issues under control, you’re better off staying at a quiet Airbnb and treating yourself to a Waikiki nightcap elsewhere. Would I come back? Not until they find the second floor and start treating guests to the basics, like peace, quiet, and champagne.

I’d give this trip 0 stars. Absolutely awful experience.
0 stars…….We’ve never in all our years of traveling had such a HORRIBLE experience. The union was striking during our whole stay - screaming, yelling, beating drums, blowing horns from 5:30am-10:00pm. You couldn’t get away from it. In our room, at the pool, on the beach it was nothing but loud and obnoxious! Not to mention all guests services from restaurants to house keeping were all gone. Hilton did not mention prior to arrival nor did they offer any sort of discount or compensation. Terrible guest services, horrible!

Hotel doesn’t care about its workers and it won’t care about you
When we visited the strike had been going on for over a month. If the hotel can’t afford to pay their workers living wages they don’t deserve your business. Most restaurants and bars were closed and the protestors were very vocal during the day and night. You’re not going to be able to relax if you plan to go here on vacation during the strike. We complained to the front desk because they could have let us know that there was an ongoing strike and that we wouldn’t be able to take advantage of most of the resort and they told us that “they have heard it all before” and was uninterested in trying to provide any kind of customer service. Having family who works in hospitality and being a Hilton Honors member we know the front desk workers have a lot of options available to them to try to provide recompense for unsatisfied guests. But what else would you expect from a hotel that allows its workers to protest for over a month and willingly guarantee a subpar customer experience. Won’t be coming back here even when the strike ends.

Unacceptable
We booked a trip to Hawaii in July. This was a trip for my daughter to get married. Brought the whole family to Hilton village waikiki beach resort. We get here to find out there is no room service at all and we have to go get our own supplies on the 19th floor. They canceled the luau a few days before we were getting there with no time to really look into other ones. They gave direction to contact them via email and they would not accept phone calls. When we did ask for a call back via email they said they tried to call us and they did not. We received no missed calls. We has to accept the one they gave us to attend on the night we got there so it was a rush to even get ready to attend as well and it rained the whole time on that night and not raining tonight when it was supposed to be. There are picketers outside that you can hear loud and clear from our rooms chanting. This vacation was not the trip of a lifetime that should have been.
