First 2 hours 1 star, subsequent was 5 star.
Checked in for 1 night on Sat, 2/29, after arriving on an overseas flight. Got to my room and discovered the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. Toilet seat was up, and whatever male had checked out of the room prior had terrible aim. Disgusting. I'll give a little bit of a mulligan to the screw up, as I was checking in a little early, about 2:15. Went back to the front desk, was apologized to, and was upgraded to a junior suite. Back upstairs. Keys wouldn't work. Back downstairs for a 2nd time. Given a new set of keys. Keys still wouldn't work. Rather than go back downstairs to the front desk for a THIRD time, got someone from housekeeping to let me in the room, and call downstairs to bring up a new set of keys. New set of keys brought up, which still wouldn't work (not sure why the housekeeper's key did). Had maintenance up to my room to fix the lock (the older style key card reader where you insert the key card). Gentleman from maintenance had to make 4 trips up to the room. Apparently the server was down the night before, which played a role in the malfunctioning key card reader. Involved calling a locksmith, and hooking up a tablet to the locking mechanism and reprogramming it. Long story short, problem was finally fixed. This whole delay screwed up my plans for that late afternoon. Everything subsequent was fine. Junior suite was clean, quiet (believe the hotel was lightly booked for that Sat-Sun), bed was comfortable, was able to set room temp to my liking, room had a small safe and small refrigerator. Workout facility was good for a full service hotel (dumbells even go to 75 lbs). Buffet breakfast was excellent. Hotel shuttle was good. Staff was pleasant. Despite the terrible start to my stay, I would give the hotel another shot and stay again.
Our visit to this beautiful place left us beautifully surprised. It served as our staging point to visit both The Creation Museum and The Ark Experience. Super accomodating rooms and friendly staff made this a wonderful business.
Great hotel, with plenty of restaurants in very close proximity. Some restaurants in the same car park. Breakfast was very good. Very friendly staff. The only issue I had was the heating and cooling, the room was extremely warm, used the fan on high which was very noisy but the room still wouldn’t cool. Reception did offer some points for the inconvenience.
Be Sure and Stay
Except for location this hotel is an incredible value with great amenities and good food. The Executive Lounge was stocked and open 24/7. Can service to the airport runs every 30 minutes. Great gym and pool.
Avoid This Hotel unless you are a pilot or part of an airline crew
I do not recommend this hotel. A 15 minute shuttle ride took 40 minutes because we had to go back for airline crew members. I was actually told when I complained that "they have a contract with the airline and they cannot make them wait". Was never acknowledged as a Diamond Member or compensated for any inconvenience. Staff here needs some training on speaking to customers.
