    Dingy Rooms

We have just returned home and I thought I’d get a review in while it’s all fresh in my mind. After a long flight and transfer, we eventually got to our room at around 9pm to discover there was no bed made up for our child, there were no towels, the safe was locked, so we couldn’t put our valuables in and the telephone didn’t work. This unfortunately meant my husband going to reception 3 times over the course of 2 hours. He was polite the first 2 times, but by the 3rd time was visibly frustrated, it was only after this that we were delivered towels and our child’s bed was made up. Once we showered, we then realised that the shower didn’t drain very well, and was taking over an hour to drain after 1 shower. We also had no robes or slippers. I reported all this on the app and we had these delivered. The next day I looked at the app, and it said the shower drainage problem was resolved, so just assumed someone had looked at it while we were out and that the building may have a capacity drainage problem with lots of people showering at the same time. It was only on our last day that our maid noticed it and called reception straight away. It turned out that it shouldn’t have been like that at all and should have been dealt with properly when I first reported it. We also found that our bed, a king size, dipped on both sides and was quite uncomfortable and had definitely seen better days. This was all in block 4. We also saw cockroaches when packing up to go home. I would say the buffet food was average and have experienced far better buffets in European hotels. The steaks and pancakes cooked to order were amazing though. As for the speciality restaurants, I found Hunters steak house very good, the Italian had no pizzas and the Tex Mex sent out undercooked pink ribs twice. I found most of the staff amazing, tips aren’t expected, but are very much appreciated. Ps.. be prepared for lots of Ganga smoking, we witnessed it a LOT

    Chill Days at The Hideaway

The people, the vibes, and that gorgeous oceanfront—this place really had it all. The views from every angle were unreal. But what made it even better were the workers. I honestly loved bumping into anyone from the resort staff—everyone was so kind and welcoming. It was such a breath of fresh air. Dorrett, my sweet sweet butler (and now friend), was the icing on the cake. She felt like family away from home. Food and entertainment were solid too! If you’re looking for a spot to truly relax, with just enough adventure mixed in, The Hideaway is it. It’s slower-paced than Montego Bay, but just as peaceful and beautiful.

    Good experience.

The buffet lunch and dinner were very good. Wasn’t that impressed with the restaurants. The beach was amazing, soft sand, clear water, and beautiful views. Make sure you go down to the beach to book excursions because the hotel staff at the lobby will charge you more. The only bar that I enjoyed the drinks at was the bar near the lobby. Tevin was the best bartender, he was personable and made amazing drinks! Overall, the Royalton was what I expected for an all-inclusive resort.

Daron & Oshain Made Our Trip – Stand Out Service

Royalton Negril Review – July 2025 We recently spent 7 days at Royalton Negril for a wedding, and overall, it was a truly memorable experience. We stayed in the Diamond Club, specifically in Building 5, which was ideally located and made our stay extra comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the service was what really made this trip stand out. Exceptional Service Daron and Oshain – our butlers – were hands-down the highlight of our trip. If you’re planning a stay, request them by name. They were not only professional and attentive but genuinely warm and thoughtful. From making sure we had everything we needed to anticipating things we didn’t even think of, they were the reason our trip was as smooth and enjoyable as it was. Honestly, they made the entire experience worth it. Anthony, our cabana server, was another standout. He went above and beyond every single day, even going as far as helping us get oxtail from off the resort, which was a delicious and unexpected treat. His attention to detail and friendly personality made every day at the pool more relaxing. During the wedding, Justin was our server, and he truly delivered top-tier service. He was professional, accommodating, and went out of his way to make sure every guest felt special. Tyrese and Okeef, the bartenders at the wedding, were fantastic. Not only were their drinks on point, but their energy brought such a fun and lively vibe to the celebration. They kept the party going and made everyone feel welcome. At the Italian restaurant, we had a server whose name we unfortunately can’t recall, but he deserves recognition for his attentiveness – especially when it came to handling food allergies. He made us feel safe and taken care of. Resort & Amenities • Beach: Absolutely fabulous. Relaxing and a perfect place to soak up the sun. • Pool: While we enjoyed our time there, we felt like the resort could benefit from more pool space. It got crowded quickly, especially during peak hours. • Cleanliness: Some areas around the resort could use a bit more attention in terms of tidiness and upkeep. Nothing major, but noticeable enough that it stood out in an otherwise upscale environment.
