Starting with the good. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival. We opted for the Diamond Club with a swim up room. The cleanliness of our room was very good and Sylvia our housekeeper was exceptional, thank you so much Sylvia. Our butlers Roshaun and Franz were lovely and attentive and nothing was too much for them. Thank you Roshaun & Franz for making our stay so enjoyable. The beach is beautiful and the room we had was looking over the beach which was wonderful. I would like to mention Shimma and Macai the beach drinks attendants, they're both a credit to the royalton and when they weren't at work, we really noticed the poor service on the beach. Shimma would make an excellent butler, she is very hard working doesn't disappear off the beach for hours at a time, like some of the other staff. Shimma and Macai were both excellent at their job, continuously friendly and were an absolute pleasure to chat too. A big shout out for Chantelle at the bar by the main stage, she is absolutely lovely and works very hard. Chantelle made our holiday, she always remembered our names and our drinks and was very friendly and has a wonderful sense of humour. Now for the not so good sadly, several staff were very lazy and hid away in cupboards and toilets for long periods of time I actually witnessed this. I wanted to use the restroom at the Diamond beach bar and was waiting for a considerable amount of time, when eventually two members of female staff came out of the one toilet together which was not professional. We found the absence of beach staff very frustrating especially when you required their assistance. Alot of the food at the Diamond bar was fried and there wasn't much choice of sandwiches the bar was very limited and this was not what we expected for a the Diamond club we were very disappointed 😑 The Royalton is not a 5 star hotel, it requires updating and the rooms and garden surrounds require fumigation to help get rid of the mosquitoes. We were constantly being bitten, even after using many mosquito repellents repeatedly. The mosquitoes 🦟 did make you feel riffy and our bodies were covered in bites which are very sore and uncomfortable. Which did sadly spoil our holiday as we spent most of the time scratching.

Let me start by saying this is one of the most fun place I have ever been. This is my first time here in Jamaica. This is a beautiful island, very friendly and welcoming people. I did a few activities as I lable these activities. I have to highlight these people shout out to Jovi alpha twinkle, Queen Dee chocolate and a few others I did a party on the boat on the 7 mile beach, which was a fun and entertaining trip. The classes that is done by the pool by the fitness instructors are very fun and also the vibe team are great with their pop balloon challenge.

Jamaica fitness and energy team!
The first time in Jamaica and I will definitely be back here soon. I did a ton of activities at the pool and also at the gym,and I am telling each and everyone that I will recommend to do the fitness classes while you’re here with Alpha and Jovie, the aqua fit the yoga the Pilates the kickboxing, and other sessions are great. We also went on the boat And did a party. The party was with chocolate thunder who was a great and energetic dancer thanks to twinkle and also queen Dee.

Outstanding service from Karli
Received outstanding service from Karli who ran a number of boot camps I attended also stretch exercise and Aqua classes. He is very knowledgeable and great and easy to work with. If you are ever at the Royalton Hotel go & say hello to Karli and attend one of his classes highly recommend.

Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommend
This is a lengthy review, but I felt compelled to write it. We just returned from an amazing week at the Royalton Negril in Jamaica, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Although we had some concerns due to a few negative reviews before the trip, we’re so glad we trusted our instincts and didn’t switch hotels. We stayed in Block 4—our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and we had no issues with bugs or air conditioning. Housekeeping came daily and kept everything immaculate. The hotel grounds were also pristine. There was a great selection of restaurants, including a diverse buffet, a delicious Jerk Hut, and a food truck that served loaded nachos, burgers, and Jamaican patties. There are plenty of bars, including a swim-up one, and we never had trouble finding sun loungers. It was just my teenage daughter and me who travelled, and initially, I had some anxiety about us going so far from the UK on our own, but we felt safe at all times. The staff were outstanding—polite, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. After a few days, you feel like one of the family because the staff take their time to get to know the guests. The Royalton Team and Vibez Team are brilliant. Big up Rasheda, Jah, and all the hotel staff—you worked tirelessly to make sure our stay was lovely. One of the highlights was a beautiful dinner on the beach one evening, perfectly managed by Lorna—she was fantastic and made the experience extra special. The beach is just steps away and absolutely stunning, with clear, calm water. We enjoyed meeting local vendors along the shore—they were friendly and respectful if you declined. We booked excursions and taxis through the hotel to local shops and tourist attractions and found the prices reasonable. The only thing I will say is that you need to book the restaurants in advance, but the hotel can help you do that if you have any issues using the Royalton app. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend this hotel. If you’re booked to stay here, rest easy—you’re in for a treat. Bring US dollars for tips, as the staff really appreciate it! ⸻ A bit of extra info: Complete your C5 form in advance. The hotel is a distance from Montego Bay airport, and it isn’t the most organised airport. I would strongly advise arriving well in advance of your flight time. We had airport transfers arranged via our holiday package provider (TUI). We arrived three hours before our flight, and I was still really concerned we wouldn’t make it to the boarding gate on time—it took almost the full three hours to check in our luggage and get through security. (We had completed online check-in in advance, too!) Do not expect anything in Jamaica to happen quickly. Jamaica is laid-back—it takes some getting used to, but enjoy the slower pace. It’s a beautiful island full of amazing, funny, vibrant, and cool people. If you love natural beauty, great food, fantastic music, and vibes, Jamaica is the place for you! I’m humbled to have experienced a week on this island. Jamaica, we love you—and yeahmon, we will be back ;) Thank you, Royalton! x
