BEWARE of construction
BEWARE the entire hotel from check in to room floors to the casino itself is under construction, yet they are charging the exact same rates as normal. There is no mention of this on their website. The first room they put us in was on a floor that was completely torn apart and I was given a room with no lake view, which I had paid for. I will say that when I called the front desk and told them I paid for a lake view room and did not get one, they moved us to a room with a lake view and the new room was on a floor that the remodel was already complete and there was no construction going on. Why not just put us on a floor that had no construction going on to begin with? The casino itself had temporary panels and walkways in place to hide the construction yet you could still hear it. The front desk check in area didn’t even try to hide it, you were literally walking through a construction zone which was very noisy and had dust flying everywhere. I never write reviews to complain but this was completely unacceptable and I want people to know that this remodel will be going on for a few more months. Harvey’s was my go to hotel when going to Tahoe but I’m not sure I will stay there again, even when the remodel is complete. I felt completely taken advantage of and don’t want other people to book without knowing.

JJ at Harveys Mountain Bar
Bartender JJ at the Harveys Mountain Bar was so great. He was attentive and made our whole trip to Tahoe memorable. It was busy but he made us feel like we were the only ones at the bar. Thank You JJ for making our Trip to Tahoe special. We will definitely come back and see you again!

Great Place
Hotel is under construction but they’re doing their best to make navigation easy. JC the casino executive was absolutely fabulous. She helped with a few minor issues during our stay and her communication and follow-up were top notch. Hope to return next day.

Not happy at all
I wish they mention in the website that they are doing major renovations at the hotel. The hotel has bad odor, dark and messy at the lobby including elevators. Room was dusty amd drawers are old. At night you hear people talking next door and door open/close loudly. AC not really cold. We stayed out the whole day and decided to shorten our trip. No one picking up phone at the front desk at 8am. Disappointed with this hotel. Wont recommend and wont be back.

Construction Inconvenience
I would not have booked if I knew the hotel was under construction. The routing through from the elevator to the casino were confusing due to construction. Air ducts were exposed. Air conditioning was not working or not on in the casino area.
