    COVID pandemic visit

During this pandemic timeframe most people have been complaining and leaving mediocre reviews. Yes, a tremendous amount of the amenities are eliminated right now but I booked this reservation knowing this. I feel that the appropriate COVID safety precautions are being taken. Commonly touched items were removed from the rooms (frig, hair dryer, coffee pots). In the gaming area there were machines turned off and chairs removed. At the tables precautions are in place to reduce the amount of people at each table and move spectators back 6 ft. Security was on top of mask patrol. Actually saw someone being removed for not following the mask protocol. The only negative I found regarding COVID, once the weekend arrived there were a lot of young adults that came to visit but not to gamble. Since there is no PEEK, no Arty the Party and no Ta.Co there is no nightlife and most just loitered which isn't conducive to COVID social distancing. Room was standard. A bit dated but I love the two bathrooms. When I stay at Harrah's I know what to expect. We went to the American River Cafe a couple times. At peak times the wait can be long but it's to allow for social distancing. Went to Hell's Kitchen over at Harvey's. It was good, great flavors but wouldn't visit every trip. Too expensive for just a novelty restaurant. We did visit Friday's Station Steakhouse. Same price as Hell's Kitchen but so worth it. I visited Harrah's for decades and didn't visit until the past year, I now will probably go one time per visit. Fantastic staff, atmosphere, food & view. in a rating of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 12.

    Better than Harvey

Rooms were clean. Furniture old. But all in all nice. Looks like they did some updating with paint etc. won’t ever stay at Harvey’s again. A total dive. Harrahs is much better. Noticed garbage bags outside off rooms for two days. No cleaning service but you would think they would at least clean halls. Nice check in clerk.

    Anniversary getaway

We spent our 37th year anniversary at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Despite a pandemic and fires, We decided to try! We enjoyed everything ! The food, gaming Great! We felt safe with all their precautions since we are of risk age.! Close by to shops and other casinos and of course the Lake!!! Will definitely go there again!

    Not kept up

What a huge disappointment. I have been working this entire time and needed a break. Since we couldn't get away anywhere else we chose Tahoe. The hotel was dirty and run down. And the pool was limited. No tables to sit and enjoy a cocktail and unwind. No refrigerator and no housekeeping. During the first several days there was not a huge amount of guests so distancing was easy. They did enforce masks at all times and they were cleaning public areas. Still, this was supposed to be a vacation and didn't feel like due to hotel being run down. Couldn't relax and enjoy other areas other than casino because they were shut down.
