Excellent location, underwhelming experience
We stayed club level in a standard 2 queen room. It was a decent sized room, but no microwave and tiny mini fridge, the also wanted to charge $8/bottle for Fiji water when they offer water for free in the lounge. The Rock Royalty Lounge was convenient, however I was very disappointed that they only offered beer and wine in the evenings, both contain sulfites which I am allergic to. Most hotels that offer a “happy hour” like this have a clear liquor option for this reason, like a premixed margarita or Bloody Mary. The big problem we had was out by the pool on Friday evening after the movie. My son was being climbed by another kid and his head pushed under water while he yelled help several times. Not one of the lifeguards looked in his direction. We were 3 rows back in the sand, so it took a moment, but we intervened and he finally was able to get away and out of the pool. Between the sand and pool there’s a sidewalk edge and it drops off suddenly. He rolled his ankle on that edge and fell. His knee landed on the edge of the sidewalk; cut and bruised his knee pretty bad. I flagged down a staff member, wearing black lifeguard stuff and asked for a first aid kit. She told my son she’d go get some neosporin, bandaids, and an ice pack. Then came back a few minutes later flatly stating they (lifeguards, I presume?) aren’t allowed to carry that stuff and security would have to bring it. She said it would take 7 minutes, very specific so I assumed they were on their way. She disappeared. 15 minutes later, no security or staff in sight, I help him hobble back into the hotel where we wait at the front desk in our damp swimsuits for several more minutes while he bleeds down his leg, lines not moving… we had to give up and just go back up to the room and makeshift bandage him until we could buy some overpriced bandaids at the park. Horrid HORRID response to an injury. Their lifeguards can blow their whistles at kids hitting other kids with pool noodles, but can’t blow it at a child actually pushing and attempting to hold my son’s head under water while he yells help, or tend to an actively bleeding and bruised injury.

Great for families
We stayed in a club room double queen for five nights with two kids. Staff all really friendly and place is spotless. Would say it’s worth upgrading to club as you get value for money with breakfast, snacks and drinks, not to mention the two hours of alcohol between 5-7. I think the food at dinner drastically needs to improve though. It’s very stodgy and samey although breakfast spread is very good. Special shout out to Nan who was very friendly to everyone. The pool is a great way to take a break from the parks and DJ Viral is excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing experience
We booked this hotel for Father’s Day weekend! It is in a great location and super well maintained! Great long weekend!! We did the club level which was nice for a snack or breakfast in the morning. The staff in there will help with any reservations you may want or need! Don’t hesitate!

Fast Pass - Fast Pass - Fast Pass.
By staying at Hard Rock we had fast passes for most of the rides - essential if you are only there a couple of days. Hotel was great. Good location being able to walk to the parks (or get the river ferry).

No water every day. ‘Nuff said. Nightmare
Imagine checking into a hotel and them casually saying as they slide your keys across the counter “Oh, by the way, no water in your room all day.” Huh? Wait…Aren’t I paying $800/night?? *smile* That’s correct sir! Don’t book here. And with this kind of underhanded lack of communication, don’t ever book here. I can’t even flush my toilet. And when the water is on….wont even get warm enough for a shower. They helpfully offered we could use the gym shower if we wanted. $800/night Save yourselves. Stay away. Cancel if you still can. Tell your friends.
