Housekeeping Only Every 2nd Day
Nice hotel with friendly check-in people. The room was average size and clean. It is a great hotel for going to the convention center. As other have noted, there are not a lot of places to get lunch and dinner. Riverwalk, with a food court, is about 5 blocks away. We found a very nice restaurant, Annunciation, about 4 blocks away with very good food. Authentic dining at a reasonable price. Housekeeping every other day seems to be a trend in hotels that I don't like. The waste basket is still very small and there is no towel exchange. One day my travel companion got some towels from a housekeeper in the hall. If I read the sheet they gave me correctly, it seems they want to go to every 4th day for housekeeping.

Beautiful Historic Hotel
We stayed 4 days for our New Orleans adventure. I was aware of the valet charges from reading reviews, but I felt so good knowing that the valets had eyes on my car the whole time. The building was beautiful, inside and out. The breakfast was good with many things to choose from. Because it was so hot, we ended up using the laundry facilities. That was a nice addition. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We had the kitchenette and enjoyed cooking our own food when we wanted. I would definitely stay again.

Great Location, everything else needs improvement
We stayed at the Hampton Inn New Orleans Convention Center for four nights while attending a nearby conference. The hotel’s biggest strength is its location—directly across from the convention center and steps from Riverwalk Outlets and restaurants—making it convenient during hot summer months. Most of the staff was friendly, and the property manager, Bryan, was particularly responsive and helpful in resolving an early issue with noisy housekeeping staff. However, the hotel is dated and in need of renovation. Our room had visible mold in the tub and a leaky faucet. Poor communication from the front desk led us to the wrong floor upon check-in, as the hotel has two separate “3rd floors” accessible by different elevators, and this wasn’t clearly explained. The most concerning issue was security: no key card is required to access guest floors via elevator, making it easy for non-guests to enter. We had a food delivery go missing, likely due to this lapse. The breakfast area was unmanned, and general staffing seemed insufficient. Additionally, phone communication was nearly impossible—the hotel repeatedly failed to answer calls before and during our stay. While the location and air conditioning were excellent, and our final night’s request for a room change was accommodated, the lack of adequate security and staff responsiveness means we’re unlikely to return.

Overall Reasonable Stay, Courteous Staff
Pros: Directly across the street from the convention center. Promptly responded and fixed issues such as tv not working and sluggish tub drain. Staff able to promptly issue another room. First room had strong weed odor. Breakfast was included (it was ok, not great but there were hot food options). Small pool and gym amenities. Cons: Room smelled musty, carpet was questionable in it's cleanliness. Neighborhood safe during the day, late night it becomes sketchy. No food options available after breakfast. Bar only serves drinks. Shower / Tub combo outdated (still using shower curtain).

A Good Night's Rest
Stayed here before embarking on my first cruise. It was WONDERFUL! The suite was very spacious, big enough for 4 adults and 2 children (10 & 15). We were able to relax and get a good night slept before driving only 10 minutes to the port parking deck to embark on the cruise. The breakfast was very good and filling for the long embarkment process. Everything about this place was a 10/10.
