My first time in New Smyrna Beach for my birthday. The entrance of the hotel and the breakfast area was great. The front desk people were so friendly and pleasant. When we checked in on 7/6 and made our way to room 214. When we walked in we immediately smelled an aroma of pee. The room was very clean but the smell was pungent. the cleaning lady was still in the hallway and my friend asked if she could come clean the bathroom as since the bathroom was near the entrance maybe they had missed something. the cleaning lady came (did not look very happy and we were not trying to insult her cleaning). she came in and quickly sprayed some bleach as she said on the carpet near the window and the bathroom. I loved everything about the stay but i had to go get some sprays and fabuloso to camaflauge the smell. I did not know this was a pet friendly hotel and this is my fault. My suggestion to Hampton maybe keep the rooms with pets on one side of the hotel, people who do not have pets should not have to smell their pee or listen to barking. The carpet should be pulled up if you allow pets. I went outside to sit for breakfast and someone allowed their pet to poop near the beautiful outdoor seating area and did not pick it up (no responsible pet owner). Needless to say i lost my appetite that morning, after sitting, taking a bite and then starring a poop, luckily i did not step in it. I loved the vibe of the hotel but the whole Pet, smell of urine ruined some of the stay for me. The beauty of New Smyrna & the close proximity to the beach helped. Not sure i would come back to this hotel due to the smell as a person who deals with Ashma should not have to deal with the scent and pet messes. Please please work on the issue with the Pets & Carpets. Love your hotel otherwise. Breakfast was very good each day: good selection each day (hot and cold), people serving and cleaning during breakfast always friendly and cared to make sure we were please. That was a plus plus.

Bad experience
As others have stated, lobby area and breakfast area are well kept. We checked in to our room at 5 pm or so and immediately set off for the beach and to explore. We returned quite late and noticed a terrible odor in the room. It was a urine smell, pet or human? Disgusting. The odor in the room, the constant dinging of the elevator, the barking dogs, the loud folks in the halls- a sleepless night. We checked out early as there was no relaxing in room 328.

Nice Hampton Inn, Great Location!
We chose this Hampton Inn for our first trip to NSB and loved it. The hotel feels new and clean, so perhaps recently remodeled. The location is fantastic with just a short walk to the beach past many cute shops and restaurants. Yes, parking costs extra but that is known in advance and reasonable for the area. Breakfast is standard free Hampton Inn selection but there are many cute cafes on the walk to the beach if you want something else. Rooms are spacious and nice. Staff was nice and accommodating to our requests. Loved NSB and this hotel. We’ll be back!

Interesting location and design- accommodated our short stay.
We have been coming to New Smyrna Beach for many, many years but this was our first stay here. We stayed only one night as it was before our cruise out of Port Canaveral (which is only one hour away for anyone interested). It is a walk from the beach but you do get to walk down Flagler which is nice directly to the beach entrance. Parking is unique but they make it work around the sides and back of property. There are definitely more rooms than I expected as well. The lobby area and entrance are very nice, spacious, and welcoming. The room was smaller than we anticipated after staying at another Hilton on the way down (2 queen room). Either way- we sure love NSB and recommend visiting this beach! You must get a coffee at nearby Island Roasters before walking to the beach!

Yuck! Worn out, 1st trip to NSB and this is poor accommodations
Yuck! Lobby looks like this place might be nice, but rooms are smelly, carpets dirty, bedding worn out and pay to park (even Gold status) No HH Gold status benefit at all other than 2 bottles of cheap water. Grounds are unkept, nothing at all appealing here, never again!
