I just love Grand Velas Los Cabos. The property is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the people are lovely. They take care of your every need. This is a wonderful spot to travel with family. Thank you and we will be back.
Great Service and Great Food
This was our second visit to the Grand Velas Los Cabos. The service is incredibly good anywhere on the property with the staff seeming to go out of there way to make sure you are taken care of and pampered. This is probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, and the difference between this hotel and others of high quality is the service and quality of the food. This is an all inclusive, but they don't skimp on anything. The first impression is relaxation and comfort as an host who will be your personal butler during your stay welcomes you with Veuve Clicquot upon check-in. While the food is good everywhere, I was especially impressed with the restaurant Piaf. The onion soup was amazing. Jorge was an exceptionally good waiter. There is an extensive wine list of wine that is not apart of the all inclusive. We were quite impressed by the Mexican wine on the list and the quality that Alan and his team have assembled of wines I've never seen in the states. The pool service was so impressive and the pool food is really good. We received great service from Fabian, and the pool concierge, Hugo, was always looking to enhance our pool time. I will totally go back here for a winter holiday, unless I visit another Velas property. Their quality can't be beat.
5 Star Experience
We visited Jan 2021 for our anniversary! From the moment we stepped out of our taxi we were pampered. Champagne check-in, amazing open air lobby then taken to our beautiful rooms (they all overlook the beach so every view is perfect). The service at this place is unbeatable. The concierge is 24hrs at your service and they communicate with you throughout the day. Anything you need they will bring to you ASAP! Great English is spoken by all employees. The resort was a bit quiet when we went presumably because of Covid, so if you’re looking for a more lively and busy atmosphere I would give it a few more months. The restaurants only operated on certain nights and many of the bars as well as the buffet were closed. Regardless, we still had amazing food and drinks specifically, Cocina de Autor (8-10 course creative meal) and Lucca! The spa experience (couples massage) was one of the highlights of our trip so make sure to make a reservation there. Tip: start the spa early since it takes about 3- 4 hours including the water ceremony (totally worth every second though). Make sure to visit Cabrilla for lunch and get the ceviches and ask for fresh oysters and clams!! They grow them there in a tank so super fresh! The pool is beautiful and heated. Make sure to wear sunscreen since the sun is so powerful there. I was worried it wouldn’t be hot enough with avg temp 71, but it was perfect warm temps. Overall we were blown away by the scenery, service, cuisine and quality of the drinks. Hope we’re lucky enough to return here one day!
We’ll Be Back!
From the moment we stepped on the property until the moment we left, we couldn’t have been happier. Our two concierges (Ricardo and Laura), the staff, waiters, even the chefs went out of their way to accommodate us in a 6-star fashion. We felt extremely comfortable while there, as far as Covid protocols. Our temperature was taken any time we entered a building where there would be other people, we were offered hand sanitizer at every turn, and all of the staff who brought us food or drink wore masks and face shields (all others wore masks). We celebrated a birthday while we were there, for which they provided a special, romantic dinner, featuring only us, the chef and two waiters! The food was fabulous, the spa was one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen, the gym was amazing, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We’ll be back!
My husband and I have stayed at both Grand Velas Los Cabos and Riviera Maya. The staff goes above and beyond to meet your needs! I wanted to give a special shout out to Blanca in reservations. We have had to reschedule our trip multiple times due to Covid but she has gone above and beyond to assist us with changing our reservations. She is fast to respond and always willing to help. We look forward to our next visit to the Riviera Maya in March!
