Bad Managment and service
I just stayed here in March. I had booked a 2 bedroom suite that was booked as 2 queen bed and 1 king and a pullout couch. When I checked in they didn’t tell me anything and had changed my room to 2 king bed and a pull out couch. I talked to front desk and they blamed it on their reservation , which was their own company I doomed and had clearly told me the type of room I booked. They told me we don’t have your room and the correct room will be available the next day and they would expedite the room transfer as soon as the other family left. I didn’t argue and went with it. I thought rooms were suppose to be unoccupied for 24 hour due to COVID. But seems this hotel doesn’t practice this safety measure. That night our family of 5 had to sleep 3 people in 1 bed. When we came to sleep we pulled out the couch and found the bed was not made and no sheets and blankets in the room. We spent 40 minutes calling the different extensions in the hotel but no one would pick up at 11:00 pm. The next day I followed up and they said they had all gone to work at another hotel. And it was their mistake for not having the pull out bed made and they would take note on it. They promised the room would be ready and we should pack our suitcases And they would move us to the new room by the time we get back to skiing. We later went to see if the room was ready around 12 and they told us room is ready we want to the room to make sure everything is good for the move and called the front desk expecting to move. They told us we misunderstood and room is not ready and will move everything before we get back from skiing, disappointed we left the room. At 4:15 they finally sent a person to move our suitcases. My kids were back from skiing tired and hungry with no room to go to. When we got to the new room again the pullout couch was not made and no sheets. Again they apologize for their mistake. We asked them to make it up but they said now due to Covid they can’t come to the room and will send sheets for us to make it. We waited 2 days for the sheets to show up after multiple calls. During our stay they had offered 1 room cleaning which we agreed to but they can’t come make the couch? During the rest of our stay we had to make multiple calls to get extra towels, trash removal, and trash bags. Most of the calls were ignored and didn’t result in anything till we called multiple times. I had to follow up with the manager multiple times to try to fix what they did to us. After many calls one manager finally got back and gave us 10% off the first night and waived the resort charges. I felt this was not justified for what hey did to us on the first night. I didn’t argue. Hotel I in a great location but has management troubles and has no control of what you book with them and what room you get. By the way we were a large group of 15 booking 4 different rooms and asked room to be closed to each other. They didn’t promise to do this but would try. Want to let you know not 1 room was near another room and we were spread out in this large hotel. I have booked large parties at different hotels during peak season and other hotels never promises but usually they get the rooms near each other.
Corner room - wow!
We stayed in a corner room and this was possibly the nicest room we've ever been in. There was a view all around of the mountain, ski lifts, and entrance to the resort. The room had a fireplace, plenty of seating, and a full kitchen. Location was easy access to ski rentals and lifts. Valet parking was quick and convenient. All staff was friendly. We truly enjoyed this hotel and would return again in the future.
Perfect location, only problem is no shuttle, would return in the future
We stayed here for a snowboarding trip during Spring Break in March of 2021. What an excellent choice. We took an Uber from the airport, which for 3 people ended up costing about $100. Other than the lack of a hotel shuttle, the stay was wonderful. We chose a one-bedroom suite with a mountain view. It had a small kitchen, dining nook, sitting area with a sofa, and a bedroom with a queen bed. The hotel is adjacent to the gondola and orange bubble lift, as well as the ski and snowboard rentals and restaurants. Kuchu Shabu is a great ramen restaurant. Red Tail Grill is a good place for a quick bite. There is a nearby bus stop and the city bus is free of charge. Don't count on Uber or Lyft to get to downtown Park City or to the airport. We would definitely return to stay here again.
Perfect trip! Perfect location!
Can't say enough about this place. What a great ski vacation. Location is perfect. Just walk out front door and jump on the lift. End of the day, turn in your skis at the ski locker (just inside the doors) so you don't have to take skis back to room. Check in was a breeze (thank you Paola Monje!!). Was allowed a couple extra hours to check out and it made the flight that evening so much better!! After skiing pool/hot tub was a blast. Met so many people from around the country. Evening was so easy to jump on the free bus to take you just about anywhere in town to shop and eat. I can't imagine staying anywhere else if I get to return!! THANK YOU!!
Nice enough, but lots of problems
The good: 1. PERFECT location! Right at the gondola and lift to the shuttle stop. Mitchell at the front desk was VERY helpful. 2. Great local “insider” knowledge for dinner options. 2. Most of the remodel looks great! Very warm and welcoming. The bad: 1. We booked the loft suite, it was double-booked and they didn’t tell us until we arrived. Had to settle for a room half the size, without two king suites as requested. Nothing says romance like separate beds. 2. Electrical problems abound. Many outlets (including the all-important coffee pot outlet in the kitchen) didn’t work or repeatedly tripped the GFCI. Many light switches didn’t control anything. 3. No on-demand shuttle. Even though the Epic Pass website and the room keys touted the “all electric fleet” of SUVs on demand, they stopped the service due to COVID, even though Uber and Lyft still operate. The ugly: 1. Although the room was newly remodeled, the staff must have been blind, or they didn’t own proper tools. None of the light fixtures were level, the TV was off center and wiring exposed, and some of the trim was already falling off of the window. 2. After a week, multiple phone messages, and repeated promises by three managers in-person, they still haven’t corrected our final statement or returned our call, overcharging us by more than $3,000!!! Needless to say, we will be filing a complaint with the BBB, the Park City Tourism Bureau, and the Utah Tourism Industry Association.
