Great place to stay
Grand palladium was an amazing experience. There was so much to do on and off the resort. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The resort had an authentic feel to it which made it even better. The room was always air conditioned and we got fresh water bottles every time it was requested. We had no issues while staying here. Would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.
The very best!
Thank you Nadia for standing out! The employees here are amazing and so helpful and kind :) We stayed for a week and could have stayed longer - everyday there was something new - food was absolutely fantastic
Great vacation & wedding with family & friends
Truth be told I was worried about this resort based off reviews. Especially since we have a large wedding party. With 57 guests we expected check in to take some time. It was a late check in as well. We were all greeted with a nice cold beverage while we all checked in. A few guests including us the bride and groom had a few issues with our rooms. A few other guests had issues with having a king bed when they requested a double and vice versa. Another guest had issues with their toilet. And had to be moved to a different room the next day. There was a whole other issue but had to do more so with the airline and not the resort. Either way it was all initially very frustrating for us and our guests. Overall, rooms were a bit outdated but clean. AC unit worked fine for us. Some rooms, the AC unit only works when your patio door is closed and locked. Though we barely used the mini fridge it was always restocked. House keeping was good. Our room was located by the adult pool and no noise or disruptions whats so ever. We had one guest where they did mention their ceiling was leaking. Someone did come to repair it but it was still leaking a bit. Other than no other complaints. Important to know is that there no elevators at this resort and some rooms require you to go up or down a few set of stairs. Based off reviews I was expecting the worst food ever but truth be told it was all pretty good. We all looked forward to breakfast omelettes, plantains, and tacos. Most of the a la cartes we're good and a nice change from the buffet food. We only got to try the international, italian, and mexican buffet (dinner on the beach). The international was our favorite. The filet mignon and asparagus soup was very good. As for the italian, the pizzas were no good but the chicken cordon blue was great and the alfredo was decent. Other guests said the sea bass and the risotto was amazing! Other guests who tried Bamboo and Mexican said the food was okay but nothing special. To book your a la cartes you need to book the night before or first thing in the morning through the app. Or you can go to guests services. If you are trying to book for more than 6 it's best to go to guest services first thing at 9 am when they open. The most they can do is a table of 6 per room. So if you have a bigger group you need at least two other people from different rooms to help book the same reservations. It was a bit disappointing as we really wanted to enjoy dinner with our guests. But mid way into our stay we all figured to make the most of it and book our reservations separately. In terms of amenities. Our friends said the spa was good, gym had everything you needed, and the pools were all very central. We enjoyed how close the main pool was to the adult pool and even to the beach. Our wedding party had a lot of kids so they enjoyed the pool and beach. The beach is a bit rocky when you are in the water so be very careful. There was also a snack bar available all day by the main pool and beach. As for night time entertainment the sports bar is where we spent most of our nights. They have snacks available and you can order appetizers like wings, poutine, jalapeno poppers, etc. And they are open until 2 am. The resort lobby hosted an event every night. One night we enjoyed the silent disco, another night it was Circus du Soleil theme, following night 80s music theme, and the last night of our stay karaoke night. As for our wedding I was worried about planning everything via email and though at times response time took awhile, our wedding planner Yessenia and manager Miriam did an amazing job. We chose a wedding package but I also brought my own decor as I wanted to add a few touches of my own. The ceremony was on the sky terrace and the reception on the beach deck and it was perfect. Absolutely beautiful! Our guests were so amazed and I have Yessenia and Miriam to thank for that. At the end of the night they decorated our room and the next morning we had breakfast served at our door. It was a very nice touch and made us feel very special. Overall, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised with our stay and how our wedding turned out. It was an amazing time with family and friends and they all seemed to enjoy the resort as well. I am sure there are many other resorts that's are more grand and up to date that provide better food BUT we personally admired the lush greenery, the clean beach and clear waters, and over all the beautiful scenery. The food, room, and amenities were all to our liking. Most importantly we had an amazing wedding and vacation with our family and friends. We would definitely come back.
Kid pool and beach great, pool water and accommodation not so great.
We chose this resort for the kid section, the water slides and kid pool were great. We also really liked the beach. We found a lot of the hotel staff to be quite rude. Our hotel room was an “upgrade” but was very small and cramped. We contacted a virus from the pool water which was a very horrible end to the trip. I would not stay here again.
