I’ve enjoyed an amazing week in this hotel, the accommodation was perfect. I have really enjoyed every detail of the hotel and the service offered. The bedroom views were outstanding, the really followed the coronavirus restrictions always making me feel really safe. The staff was really great and friendly and I’ll definitely come back as soon as I can. 100% recommendable.
We enjoyed our time at Grand Palladium! It was an awesome resort. Very pleased with their service and their employees. It’s in a beautiful location right on the beach. The food was good and everyone was very friendly.
Need better food choices, food was not the best for a 4-5 star resort & for the price we pay, need to improve better cleaning services. Room service was not the best, food was cold. Maintenance was not up tp date with room repairs, came last minute to fix T.V. a day before checkout.
Good, but room for improvement
I had booked this trip prior to COVID changing everything about travel, so i can only give my opinion of the resort based on the modifications that they needed to make as a result. That said, we were still disappointed in the overall services and amenities offered during our stay. We travelled as a family of 4, with 2 small children (4 and 2). One of the selling features of the resort was that there was a dedicated kid zone with stuff for them to do, though once we arrived we quickly noticed that much of what was advertised (and still being advertised) was closed as a result of reduced occupancy levels, including many of the restaurants and bars and the kid activities. Once we arrived at the resort we found out that the hotel that we had originally booked (Bavaro) was actually closed, but that we would be staying in the same room type at the hotel that was open (Grand Palladium Resort and Spa). The room we got was great, no complaints there, though the check-in process was very long (over an hour from when we arrived). Biggest disappointment was really around the lack of food options since most of the a la carte restaurants were closed and the options remaining were just ok. Not 5 star as I would have expected. The biggest issue was that the restaurants operated on a fixed open and closing time, meaning there were no food options available in between the hours of operation of the restaurant. Ok if you are grown adults and have no problem waiting for food. Not so great when you have 2 hungry kids and nothing to feed them. My other issue with this place was the deceitful practice of getting people to go to their presentation center in order to sell you their "time share", or whatever they call it. The people who take you there don't tell you where you're going and simply that they want to take you for a tour of the resort. Only once you arrive at the presentation center do they tell you that it will be a 90 minute presentation. Very frustrating. On a positive note, the people who work here are all fantastic and truly care about you. They're happy, pleasant to deal with and always willing to help. Dominicans in general are this way, that's why we love going. Overall, I would say average based on the services available. I would likely look at booking somewhere else next time.
