Wouldn’t go back even if they paid me!

Believe the bad reviews! People who have left positive reviews are conformist or not well traveled. This place is so dirty everywhere. Yes it’s true they have roaches! I wouldn’t go back to this hotel even if they paid me. I have a lot to say but will keep it simple and say to stay away and spend more money for something better because this place isn’t it! You will be extremely disappointed and regret it

    Worst vacations ever!!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life, I traveled from far with my husband and daughter thinking I was going to spend the best vacations in a good hotel and it was the opposite, the food was super bad, the margaritas horrible, I had 2 and it gave me a horrible headache because the super cheap tequila, the cheap wine, everything is of poor quality, so Dissapointed!!!!

    I would recommend this resort!

Our experience at Grand Oasis was very memorable. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Especially the four people at the check in area. (Jonathan, Jonathan, Javier, and Fabian). They made sure we had a great time with picking out excursions and knowing where to go. It was a family friendly resort, and my family and I would definitely recommend it.

    Deep fried cockroach for breakfast

Where to start????? I took my father on holiday for his 85th birthday. Unfortunately it was spring break but that's when his birthday is so we'll say no more about that. We'll move straight on to the cockroach. We were in one of the many buffet restaurants for breakfast. My father had had fried potatoes and I noticed one looked odd. On inspection it was a cockroach that had been deep fried with the potato!! This means that cockroaches are running across raw food in the kitchen and had obviously been scooped up and fried as it was stuck on the potato. Now back to the start. We arrived late (having flown from Spain), although very few people in the queue, it took an hour before we were checked in. The bellboy then took us to our room, despite telling him my dad was tired and hungry so didn't want a tour, he took us the scenic route to our room even taking us through a full open dance floor. We got to the room and there was only one bed (I'm sure it's illegal to sleep with your father). The bellboy took us to the concierge and they rowed for about 10 mins, he dumped our luggage and stormed off. The concierge insisted we moved our suitcases but I had to get my dad somewhere to eat (restaurants and bars close at 11pm!!). I then went to reception and explained that we needed 2 beds, they said they couldn't move us until the next day but could put an extra bed in the room, I accepted this and went to join my father to eat. We then went to our room and a 2nd bed was there, but no luggage. I left dad laid on a bed and went to find our luggage, the concierge (a different one) couldn't do anything without the bellboy ticket which I then went to find. Then I'm back with the concierge explaining that I must have lost it, no problem, sent me back to main reception, I'm then told they'd changed our room. I find the new room (with 2 proper beds) and go fetch my father. After the cockroach incident the hotel upgraded us to the pyramid and black bands. The room was tired and not much better than the standard rooms, just a few extra facilities. I then spent the next 3 days in bed with food poisoning and horrific stomach cramps. The hotel doctor diagnosed gastroenteritis, I am a healthy, worldly travelled person (incl Africa, Asia, China, Brazil, western Mexico etc etc) who's never been ill anytime or anywhere. The medication kicked in fairly quickly and my diet was restricted to boiled eggs and bread which suited me as I didn't want anything else that cockroaches might have been in contact with. Rats were also around the hotel near the children's play area, staff were not interested when told. I had also seen baby cockroaches in the restaurant toilets. I have reviewed many hotels over the years and this is my first bad review. I am not a complainer and have not sought compensation as I'd rather forget this holiday.

    Summer Vacation

What a great trip we are having so far at the Grand Oasis. The environment here is amazing especially if you’re here with friends. We have met a lot of people here and everyone has been great, especially the staff, they really have been amazing. The O beach club is a must ask for my boy Oscar! They start playing music at 1pm and the vibes there is unmatched. I just say so far my favorite bar is the Gecko which is right next to the Coyote Loco club. Alexander and Jaury the bartenders there were super friendly and attentive.what great people. This is also a great pre-game before going to the Coyote Loco Club. Don’t get me started about that club. It’s a Must visit!
