    Desert Heat Meets Cool Comfort!

Choosing a long weekend escape in 103-degree weather might sound a bit questionable on paper—but the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale turns up the charm (and turns down the heat) in all the right ways. Even with the soaring temps, the sprawling resort layout means there's always a quiet corner by the water to claim as your own. Whether you're floating lazily under the Arizona sky or tucked under an umbrella with a cool drink, there's room to relax without feeling crowded—an underrated luxury in itself. When the Sonoran sun cranks up the heat, there’s no better seat than the edge of a sparkling pool.☀️💦🌵 Come evening, the desert vibe shifts from sun-drenched calm to lively and laid-back. The lobby lounge serves up smooth throwback R&B tunes and an excellent espresso martini—both of which hit the right note after a day of poolside unwinding. The vibe is stylish yet easy, much like the rest of the resort. I was assigned room number 4610, standard with king bed and no views of the mountains but a decent view, nonetheless. But I found the room being thoughtfully designed: comfortable, fashionable, and clearly curated for both aesthetics and function. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in your room, not just crash there. Dining across the property is a standout—plenty of options, all executed with quality in mind. I loved my espresso martini at the lobby lounge. The sushi was outstanding at Tiki Taka. And perhaps most importantly, the staff who I engaged with, truly delivered: professional, welcoming, and on-point from check-in to checkout. In short, if you're seeking a long weekend getaway that balances desert energy with refined relaxation, the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale hits the mark. It’s a place where heat isn’t a deal-breaker—it’s part of the experience.

    Amazing resort

I was more than pleased with our stay at the the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale. I did go during the off season in July so it was less crowded. Right from the start we were greeted with valet staff and front desk employees smiling and welcoming us in. They have several pools and an adult only pool which I loved and spent all my time there. But if you are traveling with kids they do have a large water slide and a beach area with sand. The resort is large but manageable and kept extremely clean. We did eat at 3 of the restaurants at the resort which were pretty good. They also have a small market and coffee shop open 24 hours. The lobby bar located on the lower level was a draw after dinner. Great views of the mountains and the grounds.

    Scottsdale - Grand Hyatt

Make sure you splurge on the club access. Basically never had to pay for food and it was great! Say hello to Annie who runs the club, and she is awesome!

    Amazing Hospitality Professionals!

I recently returned to this property after several months, having only stayed briefly during my previous visit. I was genuinely impressed when Tonica not only recognized me by my full name but also remembered my occupation. Her exceptional attention to detail and commitment to making guests feel at home truly stood out. If I could give six stars, I would. Thank you, Tonica, for your outstanding hospitality.
