    Joana was amazing!

Joana from Entertainment Staff led an amazing stretching class! She was professional, patient, and incredibly funny, and she made me want to come back for more classes!

    Won’t come back

We came down here for a short visit. And didn’t want to spend a lot of money so, for a short trip it’s not bad however, the food so far has been not good, to say the least the grounds are very dated and rundown. I think they need to close down for a month and renovate.

    Relaxing and enjoyable small resort

This resort is small and truly a little gem. Older, but well maintained and the staff are excellent. If you want loud, noisy this is not it. A short walk from downtown, big mall across the street. Will return.

We won't be recommending this resort

The good: small resort. Didn't have to travel far to get to restaurants or pool. Most of the wait staff were friendly. Did not have to get up early to get a good spot at the pool. Just across the street and up the stairs from La Comer a Mexican store sort of like Walmart. Also found a spa up there that was way cheaper than at the resort. It was a nonsmoking resort. The bad: not a great food selection. It definitely caters to a Mexican clientele and so it was a challenge to find enough meat and food that was really good. The specialty restaurant did not have much to offer so we only went 3 times in 21 days and I only found 2 of those days that the food was pretty good. There weren't a lot of activities that I liked and the entertainment staff didn't' work that hard to get people to participate. To be fair, there were not that many people there to recruit from. The spa was very pricey so we went off resort for a massage. Internet was intermittent and I kept having to get back on line. One time they did it by phone. The next time I was told I had to come to the desk. The next time the I went to the desk and the supervisor asked why I didn't just phone. The tv only had news channels in English, but what do you expect in a Spanish speaking country. A couple of times the tv didn't work at all as the resort lost its tv connection. The ugly: This is the first resort that didn’t have steam tables to keep the food warm and the induction warming pads they were using were not even warm to touch. The pancakes, fried eggs and French toast were cold. The bacon was extra crispy and cut into thin strips, except on the last 2 days. Sometimes you could get warm food it you dug at the bottom of the pile next to the “warming pads”. There was some North American style food at lunch at the restaurant by the pool. You had to wait for your food. It was not buffet style. When it came it was always cold unless you asked for it hot. I finally started asking for it fresh and hot and they started to get the message. The pop was watered down. One of us can’t drink regular pop and you were never sure if you got Pepsi Light (Diet Pepsi) when you asked for it so she stopped drinking the pop. Finally, we don’t go to the nightly shows. We find them lame. Being a small resort the music could be heard loudly from our room until 10 pm, sometime later making it hard to sleep. Having said all that, we managed to have a good time but will not be recommending this resort as it is currently run.

    Great place for the price.

It’s an older resort. The staff is excellent and do their best with what they have to work with. Lots of near by shopping and restaurants.
