    Very nice resort....WONDERFUL employees.

OK, let's get the elephant in the room out of the way. Yes, there is no beach, as it was wiped away during a recent storm. However, the way the pool area is located, you can grab a chair right up against the sea wall overlooking the ocean, and you can walk down a set of stairs directly adjacent to that area and immediately be in the water. My wife and I are big "beach" people, but this situation did not effect our experience in the slightest. The rooms at the resort are clean, the beds are comfy and the restaurants and bars were top notch. What REALLY made our vacation at this resort a resounding success though, were the hotel employees. Everyone was amazing. The most friendly and helpful resort employees that we have ever experienced. Special shout out to Claudio at the front desk, Brando, Dre and of course Joyce the concierge. My wife and I thank you for your smiles and your hospitality. We will be back

GO HERE!!!! 5 stars all around!!

I know that deciding what hotel to choose isn’t always the easiest option but the Marriot beach resort made it easy. From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We arrived on Saturday so when we heard about the famous “Sunday Brunch” we knew we had to go. We asked the hostess, Leah, if there was any availability and though it’s sold out practically every weekend Leah found us a spot. Not only did she squeeze us in but she even went to the extent to check on us during Brunch to make sure we were happy. Leah is the epitome of service with a smile! Once we got settled in we (of course) had to go check out the pool. Unfortunately, there is no beach front (due to the natural rising the tides) but we didn’t even miss it because there are soooo many things to do. (Jet skiing, paddle boarding, snorkling) Damien always made sure we had a shady and plenty of towels! He always had a big smile on his face, cracking tons of jokes with us, he truly felt like family by the end of our trip. Though there are many delicious spots to eat on the island (The Burger Shack, Cimboco, Peppers) we did find ourselves eating at Anchor & Den (the hotel’s restaurant) a lot and thank god we did. Our server Siva ALWAYS went above and beyond for us. We started to wake up and look forward to going downstairs just to see his face and strike up some morning conversation with tons of laughs. Of course the vacation wouldn’t be complete without some poolside drinks, and let me say, RJ always hooked us up! He is someone whose positive attitude is just infectious. By the end of our trip we couldn’t believe a week had already flown by, but don’t worry we will DEFINITELY be scheduling another trip here.

No beach. Facilities included in the resort fee are useless.

The hotel itself is good and the staff is friendly. Overall a bit disappointing because despite it being situated on “Seven Mile Beach”, there is no beach here. From the resort, you can directly enter the sea water, but don’t expect a sandy beach to walk on. Secondly, they say a lot of water activities are included in the stay (mandatory resort fee) - kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkelling equipment. However, these are only available starting at 9am and need to be returned by 4:30pm. So for anyone who doesn’t want to do these activities in the blazing heat with the sun directly overhead, these are all useless. They should at least give the equipment for use till close to sunset and let people borrow the snorkels overnight (to be used in the morning before their office opens at 9am). Also, they don’t have proper flotation devices to use while snorkelling. The lady asked us to “use pool noodles as they would be safer than the (inflatable) life vests” they had for snorkelling. Overall, for the price, I wouldn’t recommend this resort.
