Hotel overview
Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach, Florida. Its iconic design is a spectacular blend of Miami’s glamorous golden era and stylish modern luxury. A revered Miami Beach landmark for more than half a century, Morris Lapidus’ emblematic curvilinear building sets a new standard for business and pleasure. The 22-acre oceanfront Miami Beach hotel features signature restaurants by award-winning chefs; two chic nightlife venues; a two-story spa, a virtually endless poolscape, miles of pristine beach and state-of-the-art conference and event facilities. Even before it opened in 1954, Fontainebleau had a rich history shaped by the rapid expansion of the Miami area and its popularity with celebrities. That same persona lingers on and we have no intention of changing it.

Excellent beach service
Beach service at the Fountainbleu exceeded my expectations. For such a large resort, I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the food and drink service was. Hailey on the beach was wonderful and provided excellent recommendations for lunch. $26 for an umbrella is very reasonable for this part of the beach as well — worth it if staying out all day.

Amazing Stay at Fontainebleau Miami Beach!
I recently stayed at Fontainebleau Miami Beach for a work trip, and wow – it was absolutely amazing! I had the pleasure of staying in a suite on one of the top floors, and the view was breathtaking. At night, the city lights twinkled, and the ocean breeze from the balcony was so relaxing. It felt like the perfect escape after a busy workday. The hotel itself was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They really went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I also loved how easy it was to grab food – whether it was dining nearby or having something delivered through DoorDash, everything was super convenient. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the pool area in the early mornings. It was so peaceful and serene before the hustle and bustle of the day kicked in. Plus, their private beach access was such a treat! The setup with beach chairs and umbrellas was perfect, and it felt like a little slice of paradise. Even though I was technically there for work, Fontainebleau turned it into a mini-vacation with its relaxing atmosphere and thoughtful amenities. I can’t wait to come back, hopefully for a leisure trip next time. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a mix of luxury and relaxation! 🌴

Great experience
English and Shepard were great people who took care of us and were great. We come here every year and always have a great experience. This time they went out of their way to do great things for us, and last time the same they just have such a great consistency of taking care of everybody.

Not worth the cost.
Fountainbleau is an overpriced hotel. They confuse luxury with expensive. The property is aging and it’s showing. Towels and linens are worn. The room, ocean view, was clean but disappointing. It was very plain. I’ve had rooms just as nice in a Hamptons Inn. The prices for everything at this property are outrageous. $12 for a bottle of water that retails for less than a dollar. $26 drinks at the pool. $75 a night parking on top of the room cost. The positive of the trip is that the staff is plentiful. They are friendly and helpful. No value for the money charged.

Not what we expected...
We expected a lot more from this property... Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but some were rude. Long line at regular check-in so our bellman took us to the VIP check-in lounge, which we appreciated very much, but the person who checked us in did not offer any explanation of the property, did not offer a drink or snack - should have been more of a VIP experience in the VIP check-in lounge. In the room there were no bottles of water, instead a $12 bottle of water from the minibar. No robes in room. Toilet flush was extremely loud. The AC unit had a very loud blowing sound that never went off even when we turned the unit off. Small closet and the safe didn't work. The pool area needs a refresh - the towels are old, the lounge chairs are old and not padded and not comfortable, cigarette butts scattered about. Too many people smoking in the outdoor pool area, bar and restaurant. The beach staff were nice but this area needs a refresh as well, old chairs crammed to close together with other guests. We have stayed at other nice hotels in the area such as The Ritz and St. Regis and Delano - we expected more from this hotel.
