COVID-19 get away!
Stayed from September 12-16th. As far as Covid protocol, this resort follows it to the teeth. Your temperature is checked and logged every time you enter a restaurant, no mask, no service. You can remove your mask when you are sitting by your pool chairs, bar tables, restaurant tables etc. Room service and housekeeping are great. No buffets for dinner or lunch, only for breakfast but very limited items. Swim up bar is closed, so you have to get out of the pool go around to get a drink from the bar with your mask on. No drinks allowed inside or by the pool. One thing that I didn’t like was that there were no shows or entertainment in this resort. No beach volleyball, no pool games like water polo etc. service was outstanding. Ruby at the lobby bar is beautiful and a great server. Sit down restaurants were good. Service was great. Beach water is brownish color due to lots of rain at nights and mud water sliding into the beach from the mountains. This is normal during this season for this area. Hotel is a bit dated but the location gives spectacular views. We stayed on the 9th floor which is the “club level” gives you access to the private adults only pool which we only used once since it was too quiet for us. Club level also gives you premium alcohol such as don julio, patron etc. and beachfront sitting instead of inside for restaurants. Not the best time to get buzzed and party since there is no swim up bar available or music being played by the pool. Rain seems to be on a timer as it would start pouring and thunderstorms at 12am until like 5am. Didn’t rain during the day time at all. I can honestly say this was the most relaxing vacation for me.
This is a Very nice hotel. Almost all rooms are ocean view. Service was excellent. If you need information on an excursion, see Sebastian at the excursion desk in the lobby. He's great and very helpful.
Exceeded all expectations! We've found our favorite resort in PV
This was our first time at this resort and it exceeded all of our expectations, especially while PV is adhering to COVID guidelines. We felt extremely safe at this resort while the staff worked overtime to ensure our experience wouldn't be any different compared to non-COVID times. None of the restaurants were closed during COVID. We felt like we were dining at a different 5-star restaurant every single night for dinner (make your reservations in the morning around 10a-11am, no need to get up super early). Coming from San Francisco, the intricate dishes served every night was phenomenal, better than many if not most high end restaurants at home. For breakfast, the buffet is still open but with glass casings over the food (very clean) and the staff serves whatever food you choose. The Ceviche restaurant was lovely to dine at for lunches. Of course poolside service from the grill and Ceviche was amazing. We never had to wait on our drinks- they were delicious. Room service menu was also exceptional! Very speedy service too. As always, you never know if promotional pictures really reflect what the place looks like. The resort architecture and design blew us away! Every structure we were in was so elegantly and beautifully designed. It's as if the resort is new or recently remodeled- the place is extremely well maintained. We never had trouble finding spots by the pool- all of the furniture is pristine. Our room's view was beautiful- even though we were just on the 4th floor (goes up to 9 floors I believe). All the rooms face the ocean. And finally the staff- went above and beyond all expectations. Armando coordinated my birthday surprise, Diana who hosted us every morning at breakfast, Elizabeth the entertainment coordinator who was super attentive to us, our poolside service crew made sure we were always happy, fed and served drinks. Given the reviews here, it sounds like it wasn't just because of COVID times that we received such attentiveness everywhere we went in the resort. It happened to be my birthday the day we arrived and they surprised us with a wonderful celebration at dinner (very safely- all staff wears masks, gloves and some have protective eyewear). The next night we came back to the room with another happy birthday dessert on our table. They are a very thoughtful and attentive staff. Advice is to tip well in pesos- this area has been hurting for months due to COVID, which obviously impacts hotel workers as well. It's really not a lot in USD and goes a longer way in Mexico. You can tell the staff is working overtime in making sure our stay was very comfortable and "normal" in adhering to PV's COVID safety rules.
Racist and discriminator
Terrible experience, the staff denigrates and humiliates the guests, they have reserved areas in the restaurants and deny access even when they are empty, every time we try to have breakfast or dinner they make us feel like criminals and if you complain its worst
I stayed at this hotel with my family and my friend’s family. It was a clean and decent experience. I will start with the positives. + Clean room + Great places to eat + Fun parades and activities But some negatives - No jacuzzi (mediocre for a 4-star hotel) - Manager kicked me and my friend out for sitting in bar chairs - The hotel front desk did not offer us free water, which was defeating the purpose for an all-inclusive hotel.
