Won't return
I was traveling with a friend and we needed two beds. They offered a room with a king bed and a sofa bed and we decided to make do. Knowing that you take your chances with a sofa bed, I thought I would be better off just sleeping on the sofa (without pulling it out into a bed). Unfortunately, the "sofa" was only a loveseat, so not long enough for my 5'4" self to sleep on. And, sure enough, the mattress in the sofa bed was thin and of ridiculously poor quality. I don't think even a small child could have slept comfortably on it. And, according to my friend, the king size mattress wasn't good either; she just sank into it because it offered no support. NOTE to this property: DON'T advertise a "SOFA bed" if it's a loveseat and, at the very least, equip it with a decent mattress. The rest of the room and the experience was average, but because the most important thing a hotel can offer its guests is a good night's sleep, we won't return.

Traffic noise on Division made sleeping difficult until after 10 PM.
We arrived late in the day having driven from Boise. Check-in was quick by a friendly staff person. Our room was on the fourth floor facing south toward downtown and the elevated train tracks. Room was OK with comfortable bed but the sheets came up to my chest (I'm 5'9") forcing me to crunch down under the covers. Based on the noise from Division Street running north out of downtown, we heard traffic noise until after 10PM. I'd recommend anyone staying at this hotel, get an even numbered room facing north so there might be less noise. Breakfast was fair, not as good as the Residence Inn in Boise where we stayed the night before. Probably wouldn't stay in this location should we return to Spokane and stay further away from downtown, even closer to the airport to the west.

Unpleasant Breakfast Experience
We had an nice night and went to breakfast. The dining room was clean. The food was served. On the TV screen was FOX News blaring loudly. We asked the breakfast server if the channel could be changed. We wanted something more pleasant on while we were there. The server said no, the Fairfield Inn was contracted to have that channel on. We felt she was abrupt. When filing a formal complain Case Number 681474847, the general manager replied that Fairfield Inn was not contracted to show FOX News and that the server should not have said that. There was no apology. This will be the first and last time staring there.

Travel hotel
As a travel agent I look for extras my clients would like this hotel hit all the spots, Phoenix on the front desk was so amazing and helpful, a pool and hot tub, cookies at 7, and a great breakfast, they even upgraded our room it was big and had a couch, fridge and microwave, I would only ask for a harder bed and pillows), the hotel is in a quiet area, you do hear traffic but other than that no issues, will definately recommend and stay here again, thank you
