Will be back!
The parking lot next to the casino is easy to find, but the parking garage is also very accessible. Casino & all public areas & room--very clean. Everyone was so friendly! I love this location as it is easy to get to anywhere you need to go! Will be back!

An expected fun experience
The hotel was nice, the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and overall a good experience. However, the location holds it a bit back being somewhat distant from the locations of popular shows, restaurants, and even bus stops or convenience stores.

Realistic expectations and amazing service.
The castle gets a lot of "hate", but I always enjoy my stays here. The rooms are clean, but not high end. It is what I expect in a "budget friendly" resort. The staff continually makes my stays so much better. Every one I come in contact with (room service, gaming, bar, buffet) seems to genuinely enjoy coming to work and it shows. I find the beds comfortable, the buffet a great deal with good offerings and the gaming floor really abundant. If you expect a 5 star luxury experience, this isn't your place. If you are looking to have a great time and spend your money on food/drinks/gaming/experiences rather than your room, it's a great fit.

Showing its age - needs a refresh
I have stayed at the Excaliber many times and, unfortunately, the room quality continues to degrade over time. While it provides a basic sleeping room at a good price, the decor really needs a refresh with dirty drapes and peeling pictures on the wall. It is starting to resemble a sleazy motel in terms of room condition. It's unfortunate because it is a great location - close to monorail via walking trails.

Everything was great until I met Eddie.
Good: the room was clean and spacious. Gym was well equipped And the front desk worker was very nice. Great: staff at Baja Fresh were so friendly. The bad.: Eddie at bag storage. He writes your ticket and then says it’s a free service and works off tips. I’m like okay. Then he will literally fold his arms and won’t touch your bag until you give him a tip. It was like we’re in a standoff. I asked him you want a tip now before service has been rendered and he says yes. It’s not even about the money, I’m literally there to spend all my money. And Im all for tipping for good to great service but the entitlement was shocking and guest are always gonna remember that last interaction. I hope you spent the $5 well Eddie. Won’t be coming back.
