Unit #927 was just what we expected and so was Emerald Beach!
We have stayed at Emerald Beach several times but this was our first visit from Christmas to New Years. The resort had beautiful Christmas decorations in the lobby! There were fireworks on the beach that were amazing! Our condo #927 decor was very spacious, colorful and bright with great access right off the elevator. Very quiet with amazing ocean view. One bedroom w king bed, cute bunks in the hallway and sleeper sofa. 2 full baths. We were very comfortable! Didn’t mind the walk from the parking garage across to the condo, there is a bar in the skywalk & a place for ice cream. We hated to leave & will definitely go back & hope to stay in the same unit.

Gorgeous resort - our home away from home!
We love Emerald Beach. It is our favorite place to vacation. The pools are nice, and the views are beautiful. The units have washers, dryers, and full kitchens stocked with everything you need. There is a convenience store, Alvin’s Island, and several good restaurants within walking distance. There’s also a Starbucks on site. We’ve visited every year - sometimes twice a year - since 2012.

Customer service severely lacking
You come to check in at 4pm and your check in is 2pm. You pay extra for this privilege. After you stand in line they tell you the room isn’t cleaned (this is 2 hours after your check in!) but you can pre check in. Last time this same thing happened-July 2020, we left our luggage in storage and went to beach only to have a difficult time getting our luggage later. This time we were just going to bring everything to the pool area with us, but got the call saying our room was ready while still at the car. Went back to lobby, stood in the same line AGAIN to get keys. They say it’s because they are short staffed. So hire more people? My maintenance fees aren’t getting reduced because less people being employed. Also there are other common sense things that would improve customer service-clean rooms in order to have rooms for VIP early check in available on time. That privilege costs money. Make it worthwhile. For anyone who’s room is not ready they should offer to store luggage AND bring to the room when the room is ready. A free drink at the pool side bar and a chair and umbrella on the beach would not be expecting too much. These things are available at little costs to the management but would make a huge difference to the customer who is on vacation but doesn’t have access to their room. And when the room is ready, for the love you shouldn’t make anyone wait in line again. A staff member should locate the guests and give them the key. Stupid simple ways to improve customer service.

NOT SO GOOD!
Have always stayed at emerald beach. It has gone down alot.the elevators are a night mare one morning waited almost a hour finally walked down 23 flights of stairs. The morning we left we waited over a hour to get down. I think they are about wore out.
