Another great stay!
Another great time! Great location - close to shops, restaurants, and the beach! Really enjoy the evening reception. Kaola and Maile are an awesome team! They are always very welcoming and friendly to us! We really appreciate them! We also always like to visit with Dennis and Louis at the Pakini Bar. Always friendly and welcoming! Otto at the pool deck does an awesome job! He is always ensuring the pool area is clean and is also very friendly and welcoming to us! Breakfast is great with made to order omelette and many other items. Great to be able to see the Friday night fireworks from the pool deck. The only downside for this trip was housekeeping. Smudges on the sliding glass doors and tabletops and counters not cleaned up. The once ashtrays that are now converted to trash cans on each floor and a bit rediculous. They are super small and always overflowing.

Our room and location were perfect. Other than that, this property is meh.
We loved our 17th floor corner room with an ocean view. That upgrade we paid for was nice. It was spacious, quiet, and very clean. Everything was in working order. The location is great, in central Waikiki. Everything is walkable. Close to everything you'd want to do! Now the negatives. We're Diamond members with Hilton. That didn't seem to get us anything worthwhile and the resort fee is a total money grab by corporate. The free drinks (nasty) and snacks at the evening social were underwhelming. The pool was crowded with small, screaming children most of the time (we grabbed some quiet time early Wednesday afternoon for a few hours and considered our good fortune to have done so). Pool water was also slicked with suncreen, which was kind of off-putting. The frozen drinks we paid for at the bar were, however, quite delicious and made our afternoon. Kudos to that fellow. The free breakfast was so-so. Go for the made to order eggs. Fruit and yogurt were also good. Some of the other guests were nasty and left messes in the hallways and elevators. So a mixed review for sure. If you read this you can't say you didn't know what you were getting into!

Business trip
Great location - very walkable to restaurants, shopping. This hotel has a nice breakfast buffet included as well as happy hour. I loved OHO the bartender at happy hour. He was very pleasant and cared about everyone’s happiness. The rooms all have small balconies with 2 chairs. I am a repeat customer.

Great location
Hotel is conveniently located in Waikiki, 15-20 minute walk to shopping area, near lots of restaurants and near a large park. The lobby is beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful. We reserved an ocean view room. The ocean was visible between buildings but no direct view. This hotel also doesn't have beach access, though it's across from the Outrigger, which does. There are two ABC stores on either side for convenient purchases. Stay included breakfast buffet, which wasn't bad. Had decent amount of offerings, although no non pork options, which is frustrating as so many vacationers don't eat pork for religious reasons. Turkey bacon or sausage or hash is an easy option. We were given tickets for evening happy hour that included a drink. It was a nice perk. Valet parking was available for up to $60/night. They charge per night but you can come and go as you please. This was helpful with excursions but between Uber, public transportation and most shopping within walking distance, I would have skipped the rental an donly had a car for longer day trips. Most excursions pick you up at your hotel. There's even a car rental office in the hotel lobby. Room service doesn't come every day, unless you request it, which was fine. The room itself was nice with a small living room and balcony. There was a small fridge and microwave, not a full kitchen. Overall, worth the value but wished beach access was easier.

Amazing Hotel Close, accommodating and to everything
The hotel is between Beachwalk and Lewers Street, close to Kalakaua Ave and from there its a short walk to the International Marketplace, and Waikiki Beach. Lewers street has a number of restaurants as well, very close to the hotel. The Fort DeRussy Boardwalk is even closer if you don't feel like walking. The Suite was a good size. I would relax at night on the couch, or on the balcony taking in the city beautiful. In the morning there is a nice variety at the breakfast buffet such as, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon & sausage - which are the usual staples, fresh fruits, yogurt, and cereal for the kids, salad, rice, and Miso soup (to my surprise) was also available. There are two omelet stations where cooks make your order, and on occasion mini pancakes and French toast are added to the buffet. The hotel offers an evening reception starting at 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm serving drinks, snacks, and sometimes have live performers. The Pakini Bar, at the far side of the pool area offers cheap draft beer on some nights, and Taco Tuesday for those interested. I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I was happy to be assisted in the morning during breakfast, as they offered to get me coffee and anything else that I wanted from the buffet - I have a slight mobility impairment, and very limited use of my right hand. The Hotel also has a gym and laundry room located on the third floor. The gym was equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, a workout bench, exercise bikes, and a rowing machine for people allergic to sunshine and beautiful weather. The hotel offers discounts at neighboring businesses, one of which I used was the 10% discount at Giavanni Pastrami on Lewers street. I really enjoyed my stay in Waikiki because I was within walking distance to everything, including trolley services, which allowed me to go to the Ala Moana, and Diamond head areas, and I relaxed in style at the hotel in the evening. Thank you Embassy Suite for the enjoyable stay (first time in Hawaii).
