This hotel should get ZERO stars!

Stayed at this hotel for one night. At 3AM, we heard a lot of noise coming from the next room. People were rapping, talking loudly, laughing loudly. My wife called the front desk who told her they will send security. Noise didn't stop. Wife called the second time and was again told they will send security. Nothing happened. Noise actually became worse. My wife did call a few more times until it was close to 6AM. Because we weren't able to go back to sleep, she kept on calling and complained about the same problem. We were told repeatedly that they will send security. When that didn't stop the noise, I decided to call the front desk myself instead of my wife. I spoke to Nicole and asked her what else she can do. The only thing she can tell me at that point was that she will call security and she will also call the manager. I did tell her that guests next door should be kicked out of the hotel for not following their policy about partying. I also suggested that she call the police. Nicole responded sounding upset and raised her voice on me saying, "Do you want them to get arrested because of that?" I thought that it was very rude and unprofessional of her to respond that way, but I'm not a very argumentative person and decided not to respond and just asked her to again send someone to tell the guests next door that other guests are complaining about them. When the noise didn't stop, I finally decided to ask to be transferred to a different room. Nicole did and said she will comp my room for the "inconvenience". Nicole could have handled it better by offering to transfer us to another room early on if she wasn't gonna be able to enforce their policy of stopping the noisy guests from partying. After the 2nd or 3rd call, the noisy guests should have been warned that they'd be kicked out of the hotel. If they continue on like what they did, they should have been kicked out and if they refuse, that would have been the time to call the police. If Nicole was quick enough to think and save us from all the inconvenience, she could have offered us another room or move the other guests to another room. My wife and I are both very upset and didn't bother or think of asking. A good hotel customer service personnel would have thought of "room transfer" right away. I'm not sure why Nicole didn't do that sooner.

Enjoyable Stay except for the loud music on the river!

I always enjoy this hotel but the last few times there has been loud music being played on the river in the evening. It is very loud and is easily heard in the rooms on the river side. I finally asked the front desk about this and they said it was a program by the city or someone to have music on the water front. They said if it was a problem in the evening, I could notify them and the manager would be able to do something about it. Last night, the music didn't stop til after 10 pm. So be forewarned if you have a river side room! Wish someone had told me about this before.

    Great stay with amazing views

This was a great hotel with a wonderful view of the water. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were able to get situated and seamlessly with the digital key and everything. Pool and gym were closed but that’s to be expected with Covid. But the staff were all so friendly and the breakfast was really good. Dinner was also very good as well as were drinks. Looking forward to staying here again.

    Good location, room needed help

Honestly my stay was fine. Good location. Friendly staff. My room was large. Bed was comfy. I loved that they sanitized everything for me (including the remotes, which I think ALL hotels should do). Overall, nice hotel. BUT I think the bedding used on my 2 beds needed to be trashed and new ones cycled in. There were stains all over them and even rips. The hotel gives off a nice, upscale vibe so ripped and stained sheets is not what you would expect. Everything else was good, clean room, furniture in good condition.... I just think the sheets have been too well loved..... I will also note the door was sealed shut with a seal saying everything in there in completely sanitized. Cool to see them taking an extra step to make people feel more comfortable. I haven’t seen many hotels do that.

    Father Day Getaway

Wife and I spend the weekend in Old Sacramento and stayed here. Great service and beautiful view from our room of the Sacramento River. Lobby is beautiful and lounge is quiet. Walking distance to many thing to do in the area.
