    Great hotel; great stay

I had an excellent one-night stay at the Embassy Suites - Sacramento Riverfront Promenade. I have zero complaints about my stay. Things that I particularly liked about the hotel: * Very convenient to Sutter Health Park, temporary home of the Athletics. I timed my walk from a seat in Section 107 at the ballpark to my hotel room at 14 minutes with postgame pedestrian traffic contributing about two minutes of that total. The total distance from seat to room is approximately one-half mile. If you are a ballpark tourist or follow your favorite team on the road and want to add a ballpark while the Athletics are between Oakland and Las Vegas, this is an excellent lodging choice. * The hotel never felt crowded. The breakfast flow was steady and busy but didn't feel overwhelming. I would not say that the breakfast selection was the best I've ever seen (additional, fresh baked rolls would be a nice addition, and a milder blend of coffee in the main carafe dispenser area would be nice additions). * The room I was assigned, Room 213, was hard to find (it's hidden in a narrow hallway with serving carts) behind two conference rooms and a group opening dining / breakout area. However, it was an excellent room. The sitting room as well as the bedroom had outside windows, making the room very bright and airy. The sitting room was large. Only missing item was a coffee table next to the sofa. * The location is good - convenient to the ballpark and convenient for transfers to and from the airport, but there may be closer options to the office buildings north of the Capitol Mall (I was there for baseball, not to work!). Overall, a great choice for a baseball visit to Sacramento.

Sleep issues may be a problem

The hotel is very easy to get to (15 minutes from the airport), and the location is excellent. It is essentially next door to Old Town Sacramento, so there are a number of restaurants and shops nearby. You can also walk along the river path. This is a very standard Embassy Suites; the room, the layout and the "vibe" is exactly what you would expect. There is a small pool and a basically useless exercise room. Unfortunately, they primarily use very white light bulbs, which make the room too artificially bright. Being very close to the freeway makes it difficult to sleep, since the noise never stops. Add to that very uncomfortable foam pillows so sleeping is a challenge. That is my only real issue with the hotel. Otherwise, it is good for a business stay.

    Perfect Location Great Staff

Perfect location! Came to catch a few A’s games this weekend, walkable to Sutter Field. Beautiful property with a great staff. Neville, the manager, was absolutely shining star, he really embodies the true spirit of hospitality. We will be back.

    Best hotel in Sacramento

We typically stay at embassy suites wherever we go if available. Some are better than others- and this one is up there in our top 5!! A beautiful property located just a block away from old town Sacramento with a gorgeous riverfront view of the tower bridge on one side, and a view of the state capitol on the other. The hotel itself is stunning, updated and very well maintained. Large bright and open main floor with plenty of food options and a full bar! In addition to the full bar they have the free evening reception and free happy hour that most embassy suites boast. Indoor pool, hot tub and gym. Clean and spacious rooms. Also easily walkable to golden 1 center. We can’t wait to come back!

    Lovely Hotel with Excellent Breakfast

I've stayed at this hotel several times and it's always lovely. Pleasant atmosphere, clean and bright rooms, nice Happy Hour and very nice breakfast. This time, I was able to take my time at breakfast and noted how hard all the employees were working to ensure everyone had a positive experience. I'd like to give a special shout out to Antonio who was constantly busy and professional but also consistently pleasant and helpful, going out of his way for many. I'd also like to say thank you to the two omelets guys, Hernan and (maybe... I hope...) Victor. Omelettes made to perfection with happy and inviting demeanors. This happy customer will be back!
