    Convient but confusing during COVID.

I needed to pass through Tennessee (which has both time zones) as I traveled from the Southeast to the Midwest. I'm a Diamond member and always choose Hilton properties by location to interstate and services. Overall a nice, COVID-safe, full-service hotel, but many amenities were reduced and others were awkward. Check in was efficient. The desk administrator was working alone had many tasks to complete. There was a bottle neck in the circle drive as guests were entering and moving to the the very unreasonably priced $22/night self-parking garage. And the local bars, a block away, were filled with young people partying the night away was a distraction, but something I didn't have to worry about. The rooms were sanitized and clean, but no other services were provided (happy hour, dinner, but boxed breakfast was offered). I have not visited Nashville in a long time and this central location was perfect to explore the capital city. Construction projects are all around, but construction is progress in a city, so I'm happy for it. I would return to this hotel, but the self-parking price and garage was horrible!

    Good stay for three nights

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. It is hard to judge the hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic as things have changed from normal. There were not many people staying here. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. Self parking was $22.00 per night which I thought was excessive based upon the occupancy. The room was noisy due to fact that there is a restaurant and bar on the same block and the crowd gets loud into the night.

I am a Diamond Hilton Honors member and usually always book at Embassy Suites. My wife was travelling with me on this work trip and I was glad that I could get booked here in Vanderbilt. Of course nowhere on the website did it state that the evening reception was cancelled, or that breakfast would be grab and go, or that the free shuttle to downtown was cancelled. I understand that operational changes may need to be made due to COVID-19 but other hotels either notify guest up front or have found ways to still provide the services that are expected from an Embassy Suites hotel. I even asked if we could get a couple complimentary drinks at the bar (which was open) and was rudely told NO...I don't think so. The AC barely worked at all causing a very restless sleep on night one. Maintenance came up and worked on it. Cooler air was blowing out but not enough to make an impact on the room. The parking garage and stair ways were dirty and the hotel charges $22 for self parking! Needless to say I shortened my stay by one night as I couldn't wait to get to a different hotel that was interested in providing quality service to their guests as I am accustomed to by the Hilton family of hotels.

    Handicapped room with excellent service

We’ve stayed at this facility before. It’s always been very good-excellent. This visit is no exception. We choose this hotel due to it location to St Thomas Hospital. It is within approximately 5 minutes. We reserved a handicapped room with a roll in shower. We also had a room like this 2 years ago. From the original reservations, we were treated very warmly and professionally. We needed a wheelchair, a lift for the toilet and help to get myself from the hotel to a taxi for a trip to the airport. The staff provides all the requested services. This services is during Covid crisis and even with a much smaller team that normal, everything went very smoothly. We will return when we are in Nashville.

Where do I start? We had high hopes here but were disappointed with customer service, outdated rooms, lack of air conditioning and lack of noise reduction between wall as and the outside. We are checking out and going to another hotel. The service for breakfast was amazing but check in service last night was lacking greatly and did not offer any useful information.
